I want Nolan to make a HUGE scaled flashback D-DAY film centered around Eisenhower as he realizes the role he played in the military industrial complex.
Tom Hanks of Eisenhower. Memorial Day 2026.
$$$$$$$

They diluted this into oblivion. Epic fail

Josh Hartnett as Dr. Doom and Harvey Dent is exactly what theaters need to blow up attendance.

I, too, can make numbers up and say it would have made 50% more with empty screen space instead of Barbie.
We can obviously say it was a special circumstance, but we can't even begin to assess the actual impact on either film.
Judgement. use judgement.

Elordi
1 hour ago, filmlover said:I know the reason as to why (his estate wouldn't allow his music to be used in a movie that doesn't portray him in the most flattering light), but it still felt odd and distracting that a movie with Elvis front and center featured none of his songs.
Also didn't think much of Elordi's performance in this either tbh. He certainly looks much more like the actual The King than Austin Butler did but I think the latter did a much better job of exuding why he cast such a captivating spell on so many (even within that movie's script limitations), Elordi just comes off as someone who picked Elvis as their Halloween costume. Hopefully I like his performance in Saltburn more.
Butler's Elvis is so overrated. Elvis had an easy high voltage smile and was always at ease with himself, Butler feels so much more restrained like he watched Christian Bale in Batman Begins too many times.

Be serious, Nolan owes WB massive thanks for putting Barbie opposite Oppenheimer. Had it opened by itself on a random week, I would guess it does about 40% of what it actually did. Still would have been a great and successful film, but Barbenheimer took it into the stratosphere

Abrams draft 2 would have been a huge hit in 2004.

You can find the script online. It's really bad though. He made Luthor a Kryptonian.
Script is the exact reinvention that Superman needs/has needed up until the final few pages. -

What a ridiculous suit, and guy would have needed A LOT of padding. This almost looks like an AI meme of young Hartnett's face on a 12 year old's body. His facial expression matches how most are seeing this image, I suspect.

A slightly modified version of Abrams script with Hartnett would leading would have been an insanely massive hit for their Christmas 2004 release.

The songs are time machines back to childhood, push them HARD

IDK what people were expecting but this has screamed $25-30m opening, $150-160m total since the concept was announced.

Can someone explain why Shyamalan’s movie is able to film even though it’s set up at WB? Is it not set up at WB anymore?
Hollywood knows that this films star needs way more leading roles so they're cool w/ it

Superman is beyond overdue for a modern reinvention. It can the traditional tone and story, but it must be presented in a modern way. This more than anything is why MOS broke out as much as its did on opening weekend just as SR flopped on opening weekend. No red trunks, give him bright colors and a tan, let him smile, and give it epic action.
A strong trailer or 2 and high RT score would 100% do wonders for this character, but there will be an initial wave of skepticism towards the project until then.

Sucks, but tbh, he looked like complete shit during the reunion tour and his book tour last year wasn't much better. He did some major damage to his body though substance abuse. Seems like he may have had a serious medical episode while alone in a Jacuzzi. Tragic.

Renamed Good Grades and stars M Night;s daughter along with Josh. Has a special deal to film during SAG since M Night is funding himself.
-
Need this to happen so they can announce Josh in The Batman 2.
And Fantastic Four.

It is 2023. No trunks. Be serious.

Watching Penny Dreadful rn, and between that and Oppenheimer and Black Mirror I gotta apologize - Hartnett's a legit good actor and better than a bulk of the superhero boys that get churned out every week lol. I'd rather he keep doing what he's doing though with character actor bits, he kind of excels there now that he's aged into it
Hartnett as Harvey Dent in The Batman 2, paired with Pattinson, would be a clash of the 2000s biggest film teen girl heart throbs from early and late in the decade.

This was predictable from the moment it was announced, and cemented by what must be one of the worst trailers ever edited.
Also Halloween 2018 awesome though they really should have brought back Josh Hartnett's character somehow.
-
Totally botched the concept. Remarkable lack of creativity.

TAYLOR SWIFT and KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON should open on the same weekend known as TAYLOR OF FLOWER SWIFT

1) I am so thrilled to see my constant use of the phrase Aquabro has caught on.
2) The first Aquabro was hardly a show stopper opener. Low expectations here.
