Garfield is the real wild card. Right now I’m feeling it’ll be like the Angry Birds movie back in 2016 where it gets overshadowed by the way bigger animated movie competition later that summer, but still gets a respectable 125+. But it could also do Wonka numbers and it wouldn’t surprise me.

I know people dunk on Quorum, but those Apes metrics do indicate 50+ or 60+, and I can buy it. The Reeves trilogy still have a fan base, this appeals to the main audience going to movies, first big tentpole action we since GXK. Unless reviews are as stinky as the Burton movie, I have confidence in a breakout.

We really need this Batman back. The gothic and grimdark era has gone on long enough.

Obviously one day and I can't prove anything just yet, but Civil War kinda feels like a Hereditary thing where it has bad audience scores, but there's also people who really love it and it gets hype as a "see it to believe it" kind of movie and legs out to a decent multi. Just has those vibes, and it helps that May isn't looking all that huge and competitive, so it has room to grow.

KFP4 should get to about 174M end of this weekend, unless my math is wrong. Following Home's legs would get it to about 195M, which is kind of annoying. So close to 200M and yet so far.

@Jake Gittes brought up an interesting point where the Monsterverse movies are arguably like Fast and Furious where people will likely go once for some goofy dumb fun, but they aren't really all that rewatchable (for certain people. Hold your horses @Brainbug, I know you're special). F&F aren't the leggiest films out there.

A24 stans are the same people who clap when the Nicole Kidman intro plays, so it makes sense MTC1 would overindex with a lot of A-List subs buying tickets.

Well my barometer for this was 20+, and I don't go all NTC mode. And that's all that matters. Fall Guy's also looking good, so we got a few more weeks without me ranting (yeah I know it's based off an old TV show, but nobody under 50 has ever heard of that show, and they ain't making Funko Pops last I check). CJohn? I have no control over what he does, as long as he doesn't go too crazy. But he knows how to behave. We'll be fine. It'll all be fine.
