  5. Dude we get it. You don't have to repeat the same thing ad infinitum. You'll be fine.
  6. Escape Room: Tournament of Champions Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report Final Count (Thu) Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 42 578 5426 10.65% Total Seats Sold Today: 322 Comp 0.294x of A Quiet Place Part II's Previews (1.41M) 0.225x of The Conjuring 3's Friday (2.21M) 0.790x of The Forever Purge's Final Count (1.05M) That's why I said to keep expectations in check. Purge seemed like a bit of an overperformer, so I guess I'll lean more towards Quiet Place? Either way, this will be a solid preview number.
  7. Nostalgia. People today have a bizarre attachment to anything and everything they watched 20 years ago that they will gluttonously watch anything that reminds them of something they saw as kids no matter how bad the new thing looks/the old thing was. A Good Burger remake could probably hit like 200M at this point.

  9. The Suicide Squad Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-22 and Counting (Thu) Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 25 116 5985 1.94% Comp 0.270x of F9 T-22 Before Release (1.91M) 0.086x of Black Widow T-22 Before Release (1.14M) Uh...huh. I'll admit I don't have a lot of good comps at this stage. I also know that this was overshadowed by the Loki finale, taking the attention away from CBM fans. I also ALSO know that social media reactions could give this a boost tomorrow. But...yeah, this is not a good start. While Jungle Cruise's soft debut is understandable, this really should have made a bigger splash IMO. This isn't the end for this movie of course, but I expected better.
  10. Jungle Cruise Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-15 and Counting (Thu) Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 32 18 6530 0.28% Yeah, this is a bad start, but this won't be a very pre-sales driven title and won't really pick up until the week before release. I don't have any good day-to-day comps at this point, but it is about 27% of Cruella's Thu+Fri first day which would translate to about 2.07M. We'll see what happens from then on though expect things to be quiet

  12. Gotta admit, I appreciate them using the song she wrote for Stuart Little 2. I jammed out to that song on that movie's DVD all the time as a kid

And we still have one more day to go.
  14. Escape Room: Tournament of Champions Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-1 and Counting (Thu) Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 42 256 5426 4.72% Total Seats Sold Today: 111 Comp 1.718x of The Forever Purge T-1 (2.28M) We'll see how tomorrow fares, because Purge jumped up big time on the final day of sales. It's still doing way better than I would have expected, but good to have expecations in check.
  15. Who actually watches Apple shows? I'm convinced all the people recommending Ted Lasso online are pretending they actually saw it.
  16. Oh right, I've also watched Handmaid's Tale this year. Still haven't gotten through the newest season because I'm watching it with my mom (don't ask) and she likes to watch these whenever she feels like it. Man this newest season is a slog so far. It's clear the writers want to get this shit over with and I hope Hulu or MGM or Amazon or whoever is in charge just lets it die gracefully by next season, season 6 at the latest. At least try and end on an okay note.
  17. Funny enough, I've watched a good chunk of Dinosaurs too. I only knew about the last episode going in and I kinda expected it to just be Flintstone-style puns, but it's actually way smarter and way more clever than I ever thought it would be? And yeah, those puppets are so cool. Come to think of it, I've started to realize Disney+ is like...the only thing I've been watching this year? I've watched all the Marvel shows, I watched the Mighty Ducks show, that Big Shot show with John Stamos, the James Cameron whale show, the first two eps of the Monsters Inc. show...and I don't know why I ended up watching all of them? I think I just did some of them for the lols? Saw a fair amount of Muppet Show too. I know for a fact I'll probably watch that Turner and Hooch show as a child who watched way too much 2000s Nickelodeon...probably watch that Tony Hale/Kristen Schaal show...I'm a mess To keep people at ease, I also watch a ton of HBO Max and Hulu, but mainly just Key and Peele and Gordon Ramsay shows. I am watching Sopranos for the first time and I'm already through the first six episodes. It's good!
