  6. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent Greater Philadelphia Seat Report T-3 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 24 193 2876 6.71% Comp 1.245x of Free Guy T-3 (2.74M) 0.697x of Jackass Forever T-3 (1.15M) Does anybody have any other good comps for this? I was kind of at a blank here.
  7. The Northman Greater Philadelphia Seat Report T-3 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 16 324 2900 11.17% Comp 2.400x of Old T-3 (3.6M) 2.160x of Snake Eyes T-3 (3.02M) 10.800x of The Last Duel T-3 (3.78M) 0.247x of Dune T-3 (1.26M) 3.600x of Ambulance T-3 (2.52M) I mean yeah, the 3M previews are pretty awesome, but my pessimistic side is going to Dune, only because Northman's doing hella crazy business in Dolby and I don't want to get people's hopes up. BTW I didn't track The Green Knight, so that's why I don't have that comp.
  8. The Bad Guys Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-3 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 40 70 5647 1.24% Comp 0.424x of Boss Baby 2 T-3 (556K) 0.391x of Jungle Cruise T-3 (1.06M) 1.707x of Addams Family 2 T-3 (939K) 5.000x of Ron's Gone Wrong (1.2M) 0.414x of Encanto (621K) It's a bit all over the place, and all the comps go into weird and wild directions by the end of their run. But this seems fairly solid, considering that this isn't a film that will make much in previews anyways. Addams Family 2 did 31.5x its previews for instance, while Ron's Gone Wrong did 30.4x its previews.
  9. They're not lying. Nobody's lying. Everybody has their own sources and insights and are just relaying what they're told. Especially because cuts change and modify every other day. What Clay is saying is just as legit as this guy over here. And of course, as per usual, test screenings are just that, and while what Clay and others here say is super interesting (you don't have to delete this stuff, don't worry), it's always important to take this with the understanding this stuff isn't set in stone.
  10. I mean he's right. Lost City's opening was nice, but nothing to brag about, especially when it will likely miss 100M, another instance of the sad state of affairs of people refusing to see anything that doesn't have a "2" next to it, or isn't based on something they're nostalgic over. And yes, to some of you saying that there are other hits, I will give you those, though I still feel No Time to Die underperformed domestically (note I said domestically). But like...it's still a big issue to me that only the big, established franchises (I guess outside of Dune) are still the only hits we have. There's still the issues of studio comedies being extinct, awards hopefuls and dramas being ignored by the masses when we always had a few populist hits, said populist awards hits are now considered too inaccessible or even mocked for not being dumb fun, and other non-franchise fare/auteur-driven/star-driven pieces gone forever. Those are fun sprinkles and films I love to root for. And they're barely able to survive, no matter how "well" Dog or Lost City are doing. If you guys don't see the issue here, fine. But I don't really think what I'm saying is invalid.
