You'll love the First Man ending. It's not GOAT like Land or Lash, but it's really quite beautiful.

You'd be surprised at how many grown-ass adults there are on the Internet who do nothing but whine about children's cartoons. The She-Ra backlash is the funniest thing ever though. Ya got these grown-ass men going on about how she doesn't look sexy anymore and how she's a "boyish lesbian" now, and that's ruining He-Man because Ess-Jay-Dubyas are taking over the franchise with their gay agenda. These goobers really don't remember that the OG He-Man was so gay there was a character named Fisto in the cast?

The flag's in the movie. In fact, there are probably about 4 or 5 different shots of the flag. Moron trolls are only upset because it doesn't painstakingly show the flag being planted on the moon because Chazelle decided a character arc was more important than a flag.

Yeah, it's pretty cool. Don't know if it's anything revolutionary or different from other space movies, but it's certainly not by the numbers. From a visual standpoint alone it's pretty stellar and makes it worth seeing in the theater, and Chazelle really delivers with both Armstrong as a character, as well as his journey.

Probably if evening shows pick up, which seems possible.

This could be a me thing, but I honestly feel like the marketing killed First Man. The trailers for this were super generic and the only reason I was remotely interested was Chazelle. Seems like the same case for the GA. Of course, an opening in the 20s or even high teens would still be okay for this

The Hemsbombs continue

Animated movies and shows, with a few exceptions like Simpsons or Family Guy, fall under their own separate union called the Animation Guild, meaning they don't have to adhere to rules from WGA or whatever. But that also means that when it comes to live-action adaptations of animated works, writers for animated productions, I assume, don't get compensated or any writing credits, because they were from two different unions. Linda Woolverton was the original screenwriter for BatB '91, but when '17 came around, the only credit she got was a "based on" mention.

Just the trailer made me start to cry. Can't imagine what the movie will be like.

Okay, I found a source, but those 14,000 tickets weren't all used. The offer was only given to 500 Regal theaters, and it was going to be given on a first come first served basis, meaning the first 25 service members who showed up would get in. So already that's just 12,500 tickets if all of them were sold. I doubt all of them were used, and I doubt only vets purchased tickets to the point where it would be around 70% of all the tickets sold. Bit too much of a stretch, especially when it's only 500 theaters out of 3,640 (less than 15%). At most, this promotion only boosted the previews up to $125K, maybe $200K IMO

I know that First Man and Regal did a "Vets get in free" promotion, but where's the source that it was worth $700K or $750K? If there's an actual source that proves it, then cool, but I have my doubts that it's worth that much.

Apparently it's playing in front of Goosebumps 2, but it's not online for some reason.

Weird we're getting rough estimates this morning. Normally this is only done for the bigly movies.
