    I only go up to October 2017. Yes. Keep in mind, my theater is much more positively skewed towards black-led movies, so it probably overperformed here. As for DP2, it looks...fine? I think it should be doing a bit better, but since it's still 4 weeks away, and IW is bigger priority for just about every consumer, it's not anything to be super nervous about.

    Theater Update Avengers 3003 3928 76.45% Deadpool 2 232 2042 11.36% Avengers is already the third-biggest seller here, only 1,000 behind TLJ and 1,900 behind BP. Considering that my theater will likely add in a few more showtimes this week, this will probably fit squarely inbetween Jedi and Panther.

    It really depends on how bad Infinity War will hurt it next week, but Rampage's $100M chances don't seem to be as dead as before.

    With On the Basis of Sex in the November slot, while pushing out Queen of Scots, and The Favourite getting the Thanksgiving slot, it really is crazy to think that it's only April, and the Best Actress slate is looking super packed at the moment. Felicity Jones, Rachel Weisz, Melissa McCarthy, Saoirse Ronan, Viola Davis, Kiki Layne, Amy Adams, Toni Collette, Cate Blanchett. I'm sure some other stuff will pop up inbetween, which will make this even more crowded.

    To be fair, both Dogtooth and The Lobster managed to get nominations, so it isn't completely unfamiliar ground to Academy members. Although maybe the Foreign Language and Screenplay branches of the Academy are more receptive to Lanthimos' films.
