In all honesty, i rewatched it like a year ago and its really not very good. The animation is so dated its not even funny and i actually rooted for the Carnotaurs to kill the Lemurs (and all the others too) because they were very, very annoying.

I will never not like it though. And this opening:

I do agree that the opening really is unbelievable. I remember I had the Tarzan VHS, and this scene was used as a trailer, and I would watch it all the time because of how cool it looked.

That guy seemed pretty harmless at first but now it's like the forum has been invaded by a Pure Flix movie.

I always felt a tad shifty about him. Not to disrespect any religious people on this forum, because I know there are wonderful religious people, and I myself grew up in a Christian household, but when someone is so attached and in love with God and Christianity that they pray after seeing some Japanese anime film and get excited for a cheap-looking animated Nativity movie and Pure Flix joints, I get a little suspicious about how they feel about two men together.

Although at the very least, it has helped make me even more excited about Call Me By Your Name, so I guess that's something.

I think they should have gone wide with Darkest Hour this week too or atleast early December. A lot of specialty/drama films are going wide during Christmas (Shape of Water, Disaster Artist, I Tonya, All the money in the World) then you have The Post, Molly’s Game and Phantom Thread going wide in early January. Tough market ahead. This Thanksgiving is pretty wide open with only Roman J Isreal as the new adult competition. Murder on the Orient Express should hold very well this week because of the lack of options.

Somewhat similar, but I think STX really missed an opportunity by moving Molly's Game to December. Orient Express and Roman Israel were the only real adult-skewing films that came out this month, and the latter's being dumped, and with Three Billboards and Lady Bird only in a few hundred, having Molly as one of only two major adult films in the market would have made it more appealing as counterprogramming and deal with less competition, considering it now will have to compete against the buzzier Phantom Thread and Post on Christmas, and deal with their expansions and other Christmas/awards season holdovers in January and February.

Last update for Coco and Event Picture Roman Israel, less than 1.5 hours before showtime.

    Coco 675 2327 29.01%
    Roman Israel 9 1491 0.60%

Coco's 7 PM Tuesday show is nearly filled, while Wednesday has a sold out showing at 6. Every other day's doing pretty good as well.

I'll likely give further updates on both movies on both Wednesday and Thursday morning.

    Taking out the Tuesday previews:

    Coco 727 2185 33.27%
    Roman Israel 30 1420 2.11%

Most of Coco's boost came from today, with another sold-out show, for obvious reasons. Thursday and Sunday are pretty much the same.
