  1. Pretty sure it was TROS yeah. Don't even think No Way Home got this treatment. Guess this is our first #event
  2. "TimoTHAY ChalaMAY" Like I know that's the last of that video's problems, but I was DYING when I heard that lol
  3. Said films consist of Dunc and Bones and All and Little Women. If you say otherwise, you're banned for life 😘

Still, this seems like an underperformance to what's going on. And I guess also a showcase on how complicated things are with inflation and the ATP and stuff. Very annoying.
  5. I think Oppenheimer is IMAX only, so it'll probably be Mario for the regular shows. After that, I'm probably getting a combo of Shazam (weird they didn't drop a new trailer, but I guess Warner doesn't care since they're doing another reboot), Transformers (non-IMAX of course), Spider-Verse, Guardians, and Indiana Jones. Maybe some schlocky film like Plane replaces one of them.
  6. I know it's early, and I do feel we might have to change our expectations on box office on what is a "big hit" after this year. Like we have to come to terms that streaming has caused the box office to likely decline big time the same way it did to TV ratings and album sales (inb4 "but Top Gun/Spider-Man tho"). HOWEVER, I do think the advertising campaign is to blame here. It was everywhere, but pretty much all the trailers consisted of "wow, Pandora sure is pretty", and nothing else in terms of story or character that would get people invested. And granted that was the same pull for the first movie, but that just made this new movie look like more of the same with nothing else to look forward to. Which is fine if you're already an Avatar fan who was excited from the word "go", and obviously there's a lot of thoese guys. But if you only saw Avatar once or twice back in '09, even if you liked that experience in '09, the ads don't give you this big hook that makes this stand out as something special. And yeah, add on the fact everybody knows it will be on Disney+ in a couple months, and I feel there's not really something for a casual fan to get invested in. Could be wrong, will probably leg out like crazy, idk idk idk, please don't yell at me

  10. I mean I guess? But Ethan really likes Keoghan. Think he said he was the only good thing about The Green Knight.
  11. Would perhaps Mr. Gunn be invested in my "Why Timothee should play Superman" pitch? 🤔
  12. I'm confused here. They're saying Cavill's not Superman, but they still want him to be Superman at a later time, right?
  13. Though in all seriousness, I'm always on the side of Titanic as Cameron's best, but the first Terminator is probably the best when it comes the screenplay. Like I'm legit amazed every time I watch it how tight the story is and how carefully planned each plot point and inciting incident is. It's the one screenplay I would proudly use as an example for students to follow if I hosted a screenwriting class.
