  1. Well in general the post-Endgame track record has been super spotty. Papa Feige now has to oversee 4-5 shows and 3-4 movies a year, which makes quality control a lot harder, which makes everything suffer. We are already seeing this with a good majority of their movies and shows over the past couple years, and I see very little reason to believe otherwise. Even major directors that people love like Raimi and Waititi are now pumping out meh-tastic pictures that frankly probably would have been way better if they cut back on all these shows. Ryan Coogler is not safe here. Plus, while I'm never a "bad production means bad movie" kind of guy, the loss of Chadwick and the Letitia drama, both of which probably meant a ton of last-minute rewrites, just seems like something that is impossible to fix, and will damage the movie in some way. Would love to be proven wrong of course, especially because Black Panther is one of my favorite movies of all time, but there is very little reason to be optimistic or hopeful about...anything these days.
  2. Just because directors have more "freedom" does not automatically mean the movie is inherently good or better. And frankly, while I liked Strange 2, the big issue with that movie, is that I wish Raimi had more freedom and a chance to have more of an auteur vision with the title.
  3. Yeah this is totally gonna be like Strange 2 and Thor 4 and be a 6/10 romp. Good to know that all the movies with the characters I love the most, all in just this year alone, will have such mediocre follow-ups. Oh well. This year's already a trainwreck, might as well make it sting a little bit more for me.

  5. The grocery store near me does feature Disney characters plastered on the sticker. My family bought the latest bunch with a Captain America sticker on it. You just might be on to something
  6. Reviews are dropping in a bit, so time to get this up and running. Be careful, be courteous, and all that fun stuff while you're here.
  7. Although I will say it is surprising there hasn't been a Jason Blum type in the world of comedy movies, because I think that's a genre you can adapt into very cheap production budgets that make it easy to land a profit, even if the movie only does like midrange box office. Obviously if you're doing these movies cheap you can't get Kevin Hart or Ryan Reynolds, but Blumhouse is able to get strong, big-name talent attached to their projects, both in front of and behind the camera, for a good majority of their movies. The blueprint for big, but affordable comedy star vehicles is already there with new movies like Easter Sunday and Bros. Why isn't there a guy out there pushing these kinds of movies out in the same way Blumhouse is rocking things right now across several studios and services? The two closest examples we got are Judd Apatow, who used to be everywhere but now only directs/produces a movie every couple of years, and Will Packer, who only does like two movies a year, and half the time it's a schlocky thriller like Breaking In or No Good Deed or the upcoming Beast. It's just baffling to me nobody has decided to do something with this potential gold mine.

  10. I have the most horrifying suspicion a live-action Iron Giant will happen. That is my greatest fear, and I know Warner is waiting to hit the “make a remake” button any day now.
  11. There’s a difference between cheering and getting excited over certain moments at a movie and making mosh pits, flashing your phones, and making a catastrophic mess with popcorn and soda on the ground, all the while watching a movie ironically. Nobody has a problem with the respectful people doing the trend, and you lot know that’s not what people are upset over
  12. Moderation Hi Jessie. Bye Jessie. Not sure why you still make accounts here. You know that you're banned for a reason, and you know you will get caught again, especially when you post complete garbage like this. Just stop with all this, because it's really silly to post on a forum where you don't belong
