  1. If Laddy hits the high end with a 32.5M Friday, and follows Pirates 5 28 Sat 26.3 Sun 21.4 Mon 86.8M 3-Day, 108.2M 4-Day Follows Alice 2 30.3 Sat 27.2 Sun 22.3 Mon 90 3-Day, 112.3M 4-Day
  2. So with a 31 Friday, if Laddy follows Pirates 5.... 26.7 Sat 25.1 Sun 20.4 Mon 82.8M 3-Day, 103.2M 4-Day If it follows Alice 2 28.9 Sat 25.9 Sun 21.2 Mon 85.8M 3-Day, 107M 4-Day
  3. But even then, stuff like Solo and Pirates had a bit more of an audience overlap. Wick and Aladdin, even if the latter may be "4-quad", still don't have that much audience overlap. If the 3-Day dropped in the 50s, it would still be kind of understandable, but the 60s is just really disappointing.
  4. Runtimes w/out credits and trailer attachments for next week's releases: Godzilla: King of the Monsters: 2:02. Attachments unknown (Annabelle Comes Home and Joker?) Rocketman: 1:55. Attachments are Gemini Man and Terminator: Dark Fate (weird, because I got a Crawl trailer when I went to the Fandango Early Access show) Ma: 1:32. Attachments are Good Boys and The Dead Don't Die
  5. I can see this having a bit of a drop-off tbh. Don't really think the concept really works a second time around.
  6. https://deadline.com/2019/05/clint-eastwoods-the-ballad-of-richard-jewell-moves-to-warner-bros-1202622144/ Now a Warner Bros. joint lmao
  7. https://deadline.com/2019/05/a-quiet-place-2-sonic-the-hedgehog-playing-with-fire-paramount-release-dates-1202622152/
  8. https://deadline.com/2019/05/a-quiet-place-2-sonic-the-hedgehog-playing-with-fire-paramount-release-dates-1202622152/ Now dropping March 20
  9. No, there have been several kids movies opening on this weekend in the past couple years. In terms of Saturday: Alice 2 dropped 6.7% from Friday Tomorrowland jumped 21.9% Epic jumped 43.1% That seems well-positioned for Aladdin, but the thing is that Alice is the only movie with standard previews like Aladdin. Tomorrowland had IMAX/PLF only previews, while Epic didn't even have midnights. I highly doubt Aladdin will buck the trend, unless WOM really kicks in.
  10. Also Long-Range Tracking: https://www.boxofficepro.com/long-range-tracking-lion-king/ Lion King: 180-230 range. 201/650 Ma: 24 (+4%)/59 (-2%) Rocketman: 39/160 (-3%) Shaft: 28 (-10%)/79(-21%
  11. I can see Aladdin reaching a 2.3x multiplier off the 4-Day tbh (that's near identical to what Alice Through the Looking Glass got with worse reception)
  12. If it follows Pirates 5: 7 30 25.9 24.3 19.7 80.2M 3-Day, 99.9M 4-Day That seems pretty good actually. It's already above the 75M 4-Day estimates the trades estimated, and would probably make 200M a certainty. This also could have stronger family appeal than we think, at least more so than Pirates, and boost the movie up a notch or two.
  13. MODS IT'S HERE OPEN THE THREAD @grim22 @aabattery @DeeCee
  14. Jesus Christ. Anyway, @Charlie Jatinder just cock-teased us with "very good" numbers. If he baits us, I'm flying to India, looking for a fistfight.
  15. Corden is to me what Binoche is to Beyonce, except I'm more justified to hate him. I can't stand him, yet I still find myself watching and following everything he does. Doesn't help he has theater roots. Damn you high school!
  16. I was excited for the numbers, only for my hopes to be dashed expertly. Also @Charlie Jatinder, just to let you know, outside of special occasions, we only open weekend threads after numbers are published from the trades
