  5. AMC's website is down, which is very annoying, but the only Amsterdam showing in Philly tonight sold 75 tickets. By comparison, the DWD Monday screening at that same theater was 161 tickets, though that of course had Styles fan frontloading behind it.
  6. Rosh Hashana, a Jewish holiday, happened yesterday and caused some school/federal closures
  7. I mean it would be better if Jackman didn't return and his character could retire in peace and we'd have a fresh new Wolverine actor. That would be nice. But people like cheap nostalgia and are afraid of any recasts, so we're getting this instead. 🙄
  8. Moderation Not the Beer Run thread. Take it to its proper location
  9. Tracking three movies for the long haul at once? We're truly back in business baby!

  13. Because it's a good movie on its own. A good movie doesn't need 3D or IMAX or Dolby or whatever to be enjoyable. If it does need those bells and whistles, then the movie doesn't hold up as its own individual experience and won't be well-remembered or liked. I first saw Avatar in 2D and I still loved the movie because it's a really fun, exciting, and engaging action-adventure film. It is in fact possible to like Avatar without those 3D bells and whistles. Frankly, I would be concerned if that wasn't the case.
