  1. Counterargument: from my own experience, I think it's best if you're the only one in the theater. I was spazzing out and jumping out of my seat because of how awesome this movie was that I looked like a total idiot. When you're alone, you're allowed to do this kind of stuff without getting judged and it's rewarding that you can go just as insane with gleeful joy like Wan did here. Countercounterargument: being one of the few people to see Malignant on the big screen means you're automatically better than everyone else. Better to be in an elite group atop all the lowlifes rather than in a mass audience.
  2. Speaking of The Rock…when is the next Jumanji movie coming out? I know COVID probably put things at a halt, but I would assume they would put a new movie in development by now, especially considering the numbers the last movie made. It’s very weird

  4. I've never seen any Bond film until now and I finished up the Craig titles last night (I'll try and get through all the other ones this month). So I was told that all these Bond movies were basically trend chasers and followed whatever was popular at the time and like...I'm still kind of amazed by this? Because basically each Craig iteration so different from one another and each feel like a time capsule for the year they came out. Even Quantum on the basis that it was a victim of the Writer's Strike, because of how weird the script for that movie was. I guess the next Bond movie will be about Twitch or whatever lmao
  5. Controversial take, but I actually didn't mind the serialization of Quantum? The death of Vesper obviously took a toll on Bond, and a lot of Bond's arc is about this and I think they did an okay job in that department. Doesn't save the movie, but I think the serialized format in that respect wasn't a bad thing. Spectre's attempt at an MCU "everything is connected" however was dumb as a brick and I have no clue what Eon was thinking.

  7. Some of my Regals have showtimes for NTTD up. Previews start at 4 and thankfully it seems they aren't doing that dumbass "PLF all Thursday" idea MGM had back in 2020.
  8. I mean he's getting a fat paycheck for Aquaman 2 and is producing like 30 other projects in varying stages of development over at Warner. Malignant will just be a minor bump for both parties.

  10. I should mention I was being an idiot because I forgot you have insider numbers. You may mock me 😔
  11. I mean Shang-Chi, Eternals et al should still get some form of PVOD/digital release, even if it goes to Disney+ straight away from 45 days. There's still a niche market there, especially from Marvel fans who want to own all the movies. Soul and Luca, which didn't even get a theatrical release, are also available to watch on iTunes or Amazon and you can get their 4K Blu-Ray at a Wal-Mart near you. I'm sure the home video revenue side is impacted by all this, but since streaming is where the company pockets all the money, I guess the loss isn't that bad?
  12. Because there aren't any numbers. Unless it's a major weekend thread with a massive film that will generate tons of discussion opening, there's no reason to get a weekend thread up before numbers drop. And since we didn't get any Thursday results and Deadline didn't do a Friday update (seriously, it's obnoxious how they're only doing this for big openers now), we can only wait until tomorrow morning when Friday results come in. Sorry!
  13. I mean if we're going by percentages, there's also this
