  1. @Legion of the Ten Crores These are all the movies that were #1 each weekend its month of release Furious 7 (2015) Meet the Parents (2000) The Sixth Sense (1999) The Fugitive (1993) Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) Beverly Hills Cop (1984) (It also dominated the months of January and February 1985) You also have Avatar #1 through January 2010, Titanic #1 through January, February, and March 1998, Home Alone #1 through December 1990, plus January and February 1991, Rain Man January 1989, Good Morning Vietnam February 1988, Crocodile Dundee October 1986, Rocky IV December 1985, Back to the Future August 1985, Tootsie Jan-Feb 1983, Porky's April 1982, and On Golden Pond Feb 1982, but I'm aware that's not the question you're asking. I'm sure there's more, but Box Office Mojo's data only goes back so far. 🤷‍♂️

  4. Well before that, the most recent one was Furious 7. Paul Blart 2 came close, but no cigar
  5. The Wretched just this last year (yes I know last year doesn't technically count)
  6. I did my part yesterday! Card Counter was a great film, though I was bewildered how the reactions from others when I was leaving consisted of "I don't get it. What was the point of the movie?" The shit wasn't that deep lol
  7. No Time to Die Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-20 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 68 324 14170 2.29% Comp 0.608x of F9 T-20 (4.31M) 0.220x of Black Widow T-20 (2.91M) 0.397x of Black Widow's First Day of Presales (5.25M) 1.705x of The Suicide Squad T-20 (6.99M) 0.635x of Shang-Chi's First Day of Presales (5.59M) This may not seem amazing when looking at comps (though remember that some of them had more days of presales to generate tickets), but this is actually really strong. By comparison, Venom 2 only saw 229 tickets on its first day of presales, while having far more showtimes. So assuming Venom 2 doesn't beef it, which is looking less and less likely, we have two great weekends ahead of us.

  11. Oh and as a heads up for people tracking Bond tomorrow, there are a couple of theaters doing an Early Access IMAX screening on Wednesday the 6th. It's not super common, only like three or so of the theaters I'm tracking are doing it, but do keep that in consideration when you're tracking.

Either way, really good stuff. Especially when it comes to Shang-Chi's comp gaining ground, which never happened until now. Can't wait for this and Bond tomorrow.

  15. Moderation Yeah we're not doing this stuff today. Similar subjects to the Denis/Marvel stuff has already been talked about endlessly, will just lead to pointless arguments, and offers little value in terms of conversation. Move along.

I guess all those release date change really were a hindrance.
