  1. Mary Poppins (3-Day) 455 1366 33.31% Mary Poppins (5-Day) 631 2278 27.70% I'm using the 5-Day for all comparisons: 163% of Bad Moms 2 (34.6M) 87% of Coco (63.3M) 219% of Jumanji (111.6M) 356% of Greatest Showman (47.8M) 387% of Crazy Rich Asians (136.6M) 86% of Ralph Breaks the Internet (72.8M) The Disney comparisons seem the most sound and reasonable, but the mediocre sales from Pulse on Tuesday do give me pause in believing it could turn out more like the Greatest Showman comp. Let's just be optimistic and it hits around the Ralph comp.
  2. There were Dolby previews, but they were only in a couple hundred theaters, so this still makes me pause.
  3. Then why have Smith on the cover at all if he's still a work in progress? Just keep him a mystery until you have enough good VFX stuff to work with as a trailer, just keep Aladdin and Jasmine on the cover, bada boom.
  4. Will Smith said "Can't wait for y'all to see me blue." Will Smith is a fucking liar, and looks like he just got out of a Kazaam remake lmao. Also more new photos.
  5. 40/150. One thing that really helps is that it's the only major live-action tentpole coming out in its month, which will help it stand out from stuff like Toy Story and Pets. btw Dark Phoenix isn't actually real. It's an illusion.
  6. Fun fact: the dude praddling on about this BS directed Fanboys, which was produced by Kevin Spacey and distributed from the Weinstein Company. You would think the film wouldn't already be so tainted, and yet...
  7. Well, you're no longer on the list. Just don't post any more creepy Sonic stuff, and we'll be okay.
  8. I talked about it in the Vice thread, but I wish McKay could take a break from Oscar bait and do another goofy Ferrell collaboration. Will's been slumming it lately, and something like Holmes & Watson would have been golden with McKay's touch.
  9. Dude directing Holmes and Watson directed Get Hard. I'm generally a Ferrell apologist. I will defend Blades of Glory as a cinematic masterpiece until the day I die. But Get Hard's one of the worst comedies I've ever seen. There is no way I can even try to defend it.
  10. Just as an aside, while I did like Big Short, I do wish Ferrell and McKay did another movie together. Feels like forever since Anchorman 2, and I need my high-quality Ferrell fix soon.
