  1. In France, you are now required to show your COVID vaccination to see a movie. This caused attendance to plummet 70% last week. I'm assuming you aren't aware of this and I hope you put this into a new perspective.
  2. https://deadline.com/2021/07/searchlight-new-title-release-first-image-saorise-ronan-and-sam-rockwell-1234801912/
  3. The Suicide Squad Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-8 and Counting (Thu) Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 36 384 8211 4.80% Total Shows Added Today: 1 Total Seats Added Today: 100 Total Seats Sold Today: 49 Comp 0.383x of F9 T-8 (2.72M) 0.153x of Black Widow T-8 (2.02M) Yeah there was a good review bump here. How effective this was is up to you of course, but it certainly gave the film a solid shot in the arm here in Philly.
  4. Jungle Cruise Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-1 and Counting (Thu) Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 55 313 9903 3.16% Total Shows Added Today: 1 Total Seats Added Today: 60 Total Seats Sold Today: 75 Comp 0.089x of A Quiet Place Part II's Thu+Fri T-1 (1.72M) 0.392x of Cruella's Thu+Fri T-1 (3.02M) 1.203x of Snake Eyes T-1 (1.68M) Yeah I'm really not sure why Philly is just dead while everybody else is having solid sales. I don't see any real reason why this of all movies would underperform, but I'm sure it's probably doing much better on Friday and Saturday and such. And maybe it's comparing Thursday to Thu+Fri making things muddy, which should clear out tomorrow since I'll actually have solo numbers for Place and Cruella.
  5. So what you're saying is they should have partnered with Roblox, right?
  6. Think I found the "closest" examples. Note the air quotes, because obviously the films I'm mentioning aren't actually that bad. The 90s Addams Family movies Mission: Impossible 2 to Mission: Impossible 3 Into Darkness to Beyond The Angry Birds movies
  7. Huh...don't remember the face peeling scene. Don't know if that means it just wasn't that intense or just how little I remembered from the movie.
  8. It is a mystery to me how the current Birds of Prey movie that exists today got an R. Its violence isn't any more brutal than any of DC's PG-13 fare and I don't remember anything too objectionable in terms of sex or language (could be misremembering something). How on Earth did it get an R?
  9. To be fair, isn't France requiring people to show their COVID vaccine cards in order to see a movie? That's got to impact stuff.
  10. So with the new TIFF lineup, I know Power of the Dog is supposed to be a possible contender, but is there anything else we're reportedly supposed to keep an eye out for?
  11. Moderation Guys this isn't The Suicide Squad thread. I get this thread is about discussing buzz and OW potential, and I know talking about a film's shortcomings and strengths is a part of this. However, it's starting to feel a bit too off-topic and a lot of posts feel like they belong in the proper TSS thread. I think it's best to move conversation elsewhere.
  12. I literally just saw this tweet below like 30 minutes ago and it honestly broke my brain.
  13. I guess you filthy Canadians with your hockey and your forests and your Tim Hortons and polar bears actually have some good film tastes. Good on ya!
