And yes, this is a good start. HOWEVER, Black-led movies overperform in ticket sales here in Philly, so I don't think I can use any fair comps just yet. The closest thing, I guess, is Boogie, another minority-led overperformer, which there translates to about...2.56M OD. Maybe that's a sign, but it is way too early and way too flimsy of a comparison. Really, this is a big "I dunno" at the moment that will really only help future Black-led movies.

Of course GvK isn't the fairest comparison, considering how hyped it was and how many tickets it sold right out of the gate. But hey, this is all we got, and hopefully things trend more positively towards GvK as we get closer to release.
