  1. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-34 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 1 165 8,463 29,108 29.07% Total Seats Sold Today: 61 Comp 4.449x of Once Upon’s final count (25.81M) 2.443x of It: Chapter Two (25.65M) 1.724x of Joker (22.92M) Adjusted Comp 0.712x of Lion King (16.38M) 3.379x of Hobbs & Shaw (19.60M) Now this was a pleasant surprise. I did not expect the movie to increase from yesterday's 43 tickets sold by a healthy amount. I half-expected a drop down to somewhere in the high 20s, 30s at most. I don't want to hold my breath, but I hope this is a pattern that will lead to good things.
  2. Frozen II Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-6 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 71 1,222 16,112 7.58% Total Seats Sold Today: 80 Comp 7.451x of Maleficent 8 days before release (17.14M) Adjusted Comp 0.319x of Lion King (7.33M) I feel a bit concerned about the movie. Not to the point where the movie will flop, but we're in the wind-up period where movies are supposed to see big increases on tickets sold daily, and going slightly down from the 85 tickets sold the past few days, and the Lion King comp continuing to decrease...it gives me room for pause. But hey, maybe my area's acting weird. Who knows?
  3. I mean I guess it's a good thing since Birds of Prey was gonna kill it, but like...we just got two trailers and everything.
  4. I dunno I'm sure the movie is fine, but the ads made Charlie's Angels look generic and forgettable, like a disposable action movie on Netflix or something. Doesn't help it's a brand I don't care about and actors I barely know, but it's hard to get invested in something that looks lame.
  5. Doesn't really seem like Criterion material to me, unless they relate to the struggles of 6'1 blonde girls.
  6. LOL @ everything not FvF (oh and I guess Last Xmas), although I still hope 30M can happen.

  9. If FvF follows Ad Astra, it gets to 26M. If it follows Hustlers, it gets to almost 28M. However, it could still get to 30M, since it seems to have better WOM than Astra and Hustlers this far out (99% on RT's Aud Verified!!!).
  10. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-35 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 1 165 8,402 29,108 28.86% Total Seats Sold Today: 43 Comp 4.417x of Once Upon’s final count (25.62M) 2.425x of It: Chapter Two (25.47M) 1.711x of Joker (22.76M) Adjusted Comp 0.705x of Lion King (16.22M) 3.347x of Hobbs & Shaw (19.41M) ngl the seats for today were a lot more than I expected. Thought it was going to stick around in the 20s. That's not a bad thing. Don't think it means anything for the future, but hopefully we're getting a closer ramp up to release than expected
  11. Frozen II Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-7 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 71 1,142 16,112 7.09% Total Seats Sold Today: 85 Comp 7.274x of Maleficent 8 days before release (16.73M) Adjusted Comp 0.332x of Lion King (7.65M) Doesn't really feel like Philly got a review bump, since it's only a 4-ticket increase from Wednesday. But it's doing well elsewhere and it could have gotten that bump on the actual weekend...so whatever
  12. Ford v Ferrari Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report Final Count Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 41 399 8,976 4.45% Total Shows Added Today: 3 Total Seats Added Today: 330 Total Seats Sold Today: 226 Comp 0.210x of Once Upon (1.22M) 0.826x of Angel Has Fallen (1.24M) 0.841x of Ad Astra (1.26M) 0.941x of Rambo (1.22M) 0.458x of Terminator (1.08M) 1.013x of Doctor Sleep (1.52M) 1.789x of Midway (1.65M) Well it did rally at the last minute, but a 1.2M still isn't worth celebrating. Even the high-end of 1.65M would probably only give about 21M IMO. But I am hoping that I'll be wrong here. This is something I'm actually invested in, so if this can get to 30M somehow, I'll be happy.

But...yeah, this was a bad final day.
