I guess Pasek and Paul are a good luck charm when it comes to leggy musicals. Bodes well for the Snow White remake they're doing (if that's still on the table)

WAIT I forgot to update Toy Story's numbers. They were actually at 2,996 tickets sold, so only 4 behind 3,000. Oops. But before you ask, no I'm not updating the numbers again. I've done enough already for you guys as is. -

As for upcoming movies, I'm already very tired, so I'm just gonna do Toy Story, since that's the one everybody is interested in seeing comps for. Movie/Date Monday Tuesday Toy Story 4 2,937 24 days First day of presales 49% of Captain Marvel (75.3M) 221% of Detective Pikachu (120.1M) 319% of Shazam! (171.2M) 378% of Dumbo (173.8M) 149% of Incredibles 2 (272.8M) 342% of Aladdin (312.8M using 3-Day, 399.4M using 4-Day) (Endgame deflation occurred at this time) Day 24 190% of Captain Marvel (291.7M) 431% of Aladdin (394.6M using 3-Day, 503.7M using 4-Day) (Endgame deflation occurred at this time) 543% of Incredibles 2 (991.8M) So before people go bonkers and say "OMG 170M+ LOCKED" remember this: the first day of presales never indicates final numbers, and this is going to come down to Earth by quite a lot as the weeks go by. However, being only slighly under 3,000 is still a fantastic number, especially for a Pixar property that doesn't quite have the same level of pent-up demand and excitement Incredibles 2 had. -

Fandango App Monday Tues Wed Thursday Rampage 705 1,508 4,109 Truth Or Dare 385 760 2,133 Breaking In 727 1,204 2,899 Oceans 8 3,009 4,372 11,114 Hereditary 659 1,178 3,181 Jurassic World 2 9,310 12,761 23,266 Mamma Mia 2 4,427 5,099 12,117 17,226 The Meg 1,539 2,944 6,723 16,202 Slender Man 177 418 1,091 3,737 Predator 1,295 2,476 4,545 13,063 A Star Is Born 9,115 11,383 22,641 21,501 Bohemian Rhapsody 7,255 9,026 12,546 26,476 Overlord 299 604 1,599 4,522 The Mule 791 1,779 3,882 6,235 Bumblebee 1,553 1,817 3,157 Escape Room 111 368 1,543 7,297 Upside 394 1,431 3,669 8,602 Glass 3,106 3,978 6,478 17,810 The Prodigy 161 359 847 2,288 The Curse of La Llorona 896 1,159 2,704 8,279 John Wick 3 7,867 10,932 18,211 31,028 Brightburn 554 858 1,596 3,329 Godzilla King of the Monsters 2,585 5,734 Rocketman 1,158 3,088 Ma 336 912 Godzilla Tuesday 52% of John Wick 3 (29.8M) 231% of The Predator (57M) 144% of Glass (58.1M using 3-Day, 67M) 45% of Fallen Kingdom (66.5M) 316% of Bumblebee (68.3M) 195% of The Meg (88.4M) 380% of Rampage (135.9M) Last 7 Days (9-3) 54% of John Wick 3 (31M) 126% of Glass (51M using 3-Day, 58.8M using 4-Day) 41% of Fallen Kingdom (61.3M) Day 18-3 43% of Fallen Kingdom (63.9M) So remember when I said I was going to be optimistic and said that the Memorial Day holiday deflated Godzilla's numbers? Well, I'm...somewhat justified here. With an average somewhere in the 50s or 60s, it's not necessarily a great opening, but better than the more dire results from yesterday. Hoping this leads to even better results tomorrow. Rocketman Tuesday 27% of A Star is Born (11.6M) 34% of Bohemian Rhapsody (17.5M) 60% of Mamma Mia (21.2M) 71% of Ocean's 8 (29.4M) 172% of The Mule (30M) 216% of The Upside (43.9M) I don't see the breakout potential here yet, judging by these numbers. It basically indicates a mid-to-high 20s, which like Godzilla is on tracking, though I wouldn't say it's all that impressive. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Ma Tuesday 104% of Brightburn (8.4M using 3-Day, 10.2M using 4-Day) 77% of Hereditary (10.5M) 76% of Breaking In (13.3M) 254% of The Prodigy (14.9M) 151% of Overlord (15.4M) 79% of La Llorona (20.7M) 120% of Truth or Dare (22.4M) 218% of Slender Man (24.8M) 248% of Escape Room (45.2M) This also seems good. Hope it reaches 20M+ -

Don't worry. Cammy's gonna make Avatar 2 have glasses-less 3D, and we'll be subjected to it for 10 more years. -

Don't know exact #s hour to hour, but it's about 1,967. It also started presales on a Friday, when upcoming movies are deflated, so it's not a perfect comparison, but I feel like if Toy Story does at least 1,000 today, that would be an excellent start. -

Guess I should also mention that all of this week's openers are leapfrogging over their Monday results. At the same point in time, Godzilla's about 175% ahead of Monday at the same point in time, Rocketman is about 245%, and Ma is around 285%. I don't think any of these will hold onto these numbers. But really, I can only see slight decreases. I won't do any comps just yet, but unless everything else jumped up this high, we should be in for some rosier projections. -

And with the first hour out of the way... So that's 317 in the first hour, and landed in the top 3. Good start -

There was a leaked document a while back during Endgame pre-release hype that mentioned Lion King's tickets going on sale starting on June 26. So yeah, a couple days after Toy Story 4 dropped, and similar to Disney's other presales drops. -

Guys, Toy Story isn't gonna sell that many tickets lmao. Incredibles only got about 2,000 tickets on its first day of presales, and this has way less hype and urge to buy in advance by comparison -

But yeah, definitely needs to increase badly, if it wants to meet tracking. Ma 61% of Brightburn (4.8M) 51% of Hereditary (6.9M) 46% of Breaking In (8.1M) 172% of Hell Fest (8.8M) 37% of La Llorona (9.9M) 112% of Overlord (11.5M) 209% of The Prodigy (12.2M) 87% of Truth or Dare (16.3M) 320% of Hannah Grace (20.5M) 190% of Slender Man (21.6M) 303% of Escape Room (55.2M) Hoping this hits the higher end. Queen Octavia deserves it! 🙏 -
