  1. Well, my show starts in an hour, so I'll probably just leave this thread pretty soon. See y'all on the other side eventually

  3. I was genuinely surprised by how funny the movie was. Even the scariest moments have just the right amount of comedy that makes it humorous but not light-hearted or distracting from the fear. Winston Duke needs to be in more comedies

  5. Oh yeah, long range tracking's up: https://www.boxofficepro.com/long-range-tracking-john-wick-chapter-3-parabellum-a-dogs-journey-the-sun-is-also-a-star/
  6. The official trailer for OUATIH on Sony's channel already crossed 11M views after two days. Don't know how long Rocketman or Yesterday hit the mark, but they're only at 11M and 10M respectively after only a month. And those movies at least had iconic music backing them up. This is a vague teaser with no money shots and no established brand, outside of its stars and director. Doesn't even bring up the Manson murders at all. This feels like an O/U Django at the moment
  7. I guess if we're talking Peele, while I'm not gonna be upset if he does an IP blockbuster next, I do hope he continues doing original stuff. Nolan and Tarantino are the only people who are able to develop original hit blockbusters nowadays (even Spielberg's mainly been doing book adaptations for the past decade), and it would be nice if there was at least one other director making completely original event movies
  8. That, and I think it might also be to get IMAX/PLFs. If it opened in its original date, I'm pretty sure IMAX would be more willing to hold onto Captain Marvel in favor of Us (IMAX might have even had a contract with Disney that Captain Marvel had two weeks minimum). It wasn't until Uni/Blumhouse saw how huge the trailer was that they knew they had a winner and decided to push it back one week to get those IMAX/PLF screens

  10. BOT's China thread getting mentioned by Forbes in an article about the new Mulan movie will always crack me up
  11. @That One Guy If it follows A Quiet Place and generates an 86.5M OW, it would only need about 3.39x legs to pass Sixth Sense. That's in the realm of possibility, but not a certainty. It really depends on its second weekend drop and how much impact Pet Sematary has on its third weekend.
  12. WB really screwed the pooch with La Llorona tbh. It was going to fall off a cliff no matter what, but they should have announced much earlier this took place in The Conjuring Universe instead of randomly announcing it with little fanfare (also premiering it at SXSW to a lukewarm response). With the branding, it could have at least came close to the Annabelle movies in terms of OW.
  13. Runtimes w/out credits and attachments for next week: Dumbo: 1:43. Attachments are Toy Story 4 and Aladdin Unplanned: 1:44. Attachments unknown (probably none? I dunno) Beach Bum isn't available yet
  14. You coastal elites ain't got nothing that'll impress me. In all seriousness, my family never buys chain pizza. We always purchase from local businesses or just buy frozen pizza. I have a strong guilty pleasure for frozen pizza, even if it's technically trash
  15. All the fast food pizza joints are the same. Even store-bought frozen pizza's better than Domino's, Pizza Hut, and Papa John's combined
