  1. I know you keep bringing up "Atom deals" and how they skew everything. And while I'm not going to say it doesn't play a tiny part, I feel like you overestimate just how much impact they cause. Are these deals really that well-known or heavily used by people as you think?
  2. Eh, Will Smith looks like he could be fun. Yeah, he's playing himself, but...he's good at playing himself
  3. And in terms of upcoming releases Movie/Date Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Us 1,070 11 days Dumbo 777 18 days Us 14-11 days before release: 118% of Glass (55.1M using Glass' 4-Day) Dumbo On Day 18: 174% of Dragon 3 (95.8M) Cumulative by Day 18: 25% of Dragon 3 (13.8M) (Note Dragon 3 had 17 days more presales) So for Us, we're on the right track and things are boding well for great numbers. Dumbo is way too early to call with so little information, but the fact this beat out all of this weekend's releases yesterday is a great start
  4. Five Feet Apart comps: 122% of Blockers (25M) 159% of Truth or Dare (29.7M) 20% of Ocean's 8 (8.5M) 471% of Darkest Minds (27.5M) 346% of Slender Man (39.4M) 174% of Second Act (11.3M) 156% of The Upside (31.7M) Another one that's hard to find good comps on (YA movies just aren't a thing anymore), but I guess it could surprise in the 20s? Wonder Park comps: 35% of Hotel Transylvania 3 (15.4M) 39% of Christopher Robin (9.7M) 68% of House w/ Clock (18.2M) 83% of Smallfoot (19.2M) 17% of The Grinch (11.6M) 237% of A Dog's Way Home (26.6M) 24% of Lego Movie 2 (8.2M) 16% of Dragon 3 (9.1M) Everything seems to be pointing to the teens here
  5. I hope Bob Iger and Kevin Feige burn in hell for committing their sins towards me.
  6. Bit while back, but feel like Mortal Kombat and the Jolie Tomb Raider managed to come out at the peak of popularity with the games, or at least very very close to it
  7. A Doom reboot game came out a couple years ago actually. Don't know how popular it is (I've heard more about the Wolfenstein reboots than the Doom one), but the brand's definitely more popular than it was back in 2005.
  8. Also of note, in terms of other recent similar March releases, CM's Sunday drop is pretty standard: BATB: 23% Logan: 23.1% Power Rangers: 26.1% Captain Marvel: 26.5% Ready Player One: 28.5% Kong: 28.8% PacRim 2: 31.8% Tomb Raider: 31.9% BvS: 33.3% While there are plenty of potential factors to CM potentially garnering mediocre legs, Sunday drops are by far the least of its worries.
  9. The original script when Sacha Baron Cohen was on board had Freddie die halfway through, with the rest of the movie being about the other band members trying to get through the loss. Probs what the sequel plot could be all about.
  10. Just checked, and it's on sale now in my area. Don't get why it wasn't earlier, but whatever.
  11. Dumbo has tickets on sale right now, but there are a few interesting things. 1. Fandango is only offering 3D and IMAX shows, at least as of right now, even though other ticketing services have 2D shows up. I don't know if that's a glitch, or something to do with my area, but...still weird. 2. That ticket sale date leak that was on Reddit and posted here mentioned tickets for Dumbo would go on sale today. So that 4/2 sale date for Endgame is looking pretty legit (Aladdin also had its sale date a couple days after Endgame and Lion King a couple days after Toy Story 4 IIRC
  12. Hunger Games has the same thing going on. I was alerted that their Twitter account is still up after making a GOT meme a couple weeks back. Going down the rabbit hole, all the account does nowadays is just link to articles that mention Hunger Games, make dumb memes, and post "happy birthday" to the actors of the movies. It's honestly kind of depressing
  13. I don't know what your theaters are like, but I believe those attachments are intended for those with digital projections, or using digital files to broadcast the movie. Could be wrong though.
