  2. Same thing for me, though granted my local indie also played NTTD and is playing Death on the Nile right now. I saw Worst Person in the World today, and not only did they play The Batman trailer, one of the managers popped up in the middle of the trailer and gave a long-winded explanation about why they were playing the film at their establishment, I guess to avoid making the artsy fartsy folks angry. How it's basically a film noir and is reminiscent of The Big Sleep and Silence of the Lambs, so it fits with what they play. Like dude, just admit it's because you don't have anything else to play for the Spring line-up.
  3. They aren’t allowed. Thank you for the heads up, but next time use the Report button. It makes it a lot easier for us to stop spoilers from leaking out faster
  4. It’s destined to hit since day one. The literal second the masses see the “Marvel” name, they instantly turn into robots and flock to it. You could put the Marvel logo in front of Caligula and people will turn out to record numbers.
  5. Now this is what I was looking for and expected. I was kind of underwhelmed by matching Nile, but going well above it and Gucci's 3-Day is what I like seeing.
  6. Again, this is why we have to support Clifford. Big family fun for all!
  7. Because he's not getting cast and it's annoying people keep saying "lol Joaquamole Phoenix needs to beat up Battinson in the next one". They're from different timelines, and I don't think Joaquamole would say yes anyways. It's just irritating people keep saying they want something that will never happen.
  8. Moderation Guys, we've been arguing for two pages and it's clear we aren't going to change each other's minds or come to an agreement. I think it's best to agree to disagree and end this here.

  10. Actually why does The-Numbers not include 20th Century grosses lumped in with Disney's? I understand Searchlight being listed separately, since that's still its own unique beast that releases their own movies, but I don't think that's the case for 20th Century
  11. Moderation Not the “Which Male Star is More Bankable” thread. Stay on topic
  12. As somebody who grew up playing Sonic Heroes/Sonic Riders every day after school, I wholeheartedly approve.
  13. I'll only accept it if the Uncharted sequel gets really, really gay.
  14. Lost City is one of the most fascinating case studies for how awful the box office has been over the past few years. In 2013, with the same cast and concept and everything, this would have grossed 45/160 and become one of those movies like The Proposal or We're the Millers or The Hangover that's always on cable and always on Netflix/HBO Max. In 2017, it would have done 35/115. Still wouldn't have been as talked about, but at least would still be commended as a solid hit and get a decent presence on cable and streaming. And now in 2022, it'll probably do 17/50, quietly move to Paramount+, a service nobody cares about, but will inexplicably get a P+ spin-off with Daniel Radcliffe's character that nobody will watch but will somehow get 3 seasons.
  15. Anyways, this could be me expecting too much, and I know this is still going to turn out well for MGM, but I feel kind of underwhelmed by Dog's performance just matching Nile, since Dog arguably has more going for it. Just kind of shows there's still a tough ceiling for these kinds of dramas/female-skewing pieces compared to other films IMO
  16. Ehh, maybe if they cut down the budget, but I still think Uncharted is coasting off Spider-Mania and Uncharted 2 will probably see a hefty drop.
  17. https://deadline.com/2022/02/box-office-uncharted-dog-tom-holland-channing-tatum-1234956548/ Deadline also mentions something called The Cursed is set for a 1.7M weekend. I don't think I've heard of it.
