That's just festival hype. The excitement of seeing a shiny, new movie at a big movie festival, one that is fairly exclusive, even for big critics, is going to cause aggregate inflation. Even in more prestigious places like TIFF, this kind of stuff happens on occasion.

See, all I see here is more and more reasons to watch. I love a good disasterpiece, and this is the stuff I crave. 🤤

Even moreso than with most of these press screenings, these tweets feel very selective in terms of the easiest to please geeky critics out there. Still excited for the movie as a Sonic nut, but this is even more side-eyeing than usual.

If you want just Thursday numbers, they now account for 331 tickets.
