I'm surprised this out of all of the FOX shows is getting a film, but Bob's is easily one of my favorite shows on TV, I can't really complain.

Entertainment Studios (the 47 Meters Down guys) have picked up Hostiles, and will have the movie release limited in December, then wide in January. Well...I definitely didn't see that coming.

For kicks, I've decided to give presales updates on how tickets are selling at my university's local Movie Tavern. This specifically looks at OWs for each movie currently selling tickets. Spoilers for more details: Blade Runner: 94/1856 (5.06%) My Little Pony: 3/1367 (0.22%) Thor 3: 196/1582 (12.33%) Mountain Between Us, Happy Death Day and Bad Moms Christmas also have pre-sales up, but they haven't sold anything. Also, I don't have any comps for Blade, Pony, or Thor. -

I can see this getting a total in the $50M or $60M range. A niche film for sure, but it has a lot of starpower and it will go wide around the same time as the Golden Globe nominations are unveiled, so it'll likely get some good buzz from that (I would be shocked if it missed Best Picture and Best Actor for Comedy)
