So I guess Kong will overtake PR and GITS this weekend.
-
How does China fix these huge drops? It's not just F8, but there's always plenty of films that drop huge its second week. "One week wonder" is exactly right... But I don't know how you eliviate it.

It should do more than G14 I think. This should feel more "adventurous". For now I'm going with 400 OS.

Universal has two monster franchises on their hands, make it three if you count Illumination. Pretty amazing stuff. Plus they have two giant horror hits early this year. Truly terrific start to the year for them.
4 if the universal monsters universe does decent enough starting with Mummy.

God, F8te or whatever the fuck you call it was garbage. Not doing these movies anymore. They should've ended it with 7. Physics of this movie was b/s. You have to leave logic at the door, and I just couldn't do it anymore. Waste of time.

I'm presuming the Wat is directed at KONG? I was trying to make it all rhyme but basically KONG had a great third act but before that the only thing worth a damn was Reilly. Like even the monkey himself sucks prior to the last half hour

Just realized Anne Hathaways COLLOSAL is playing at a theater near by this and next weekend. Checking that out for sure.

Shh, Gokira will push the rock off his coffin to come after you.
Gokira? Go....g.g.go...kira?
But seriously, Kong has held up very nicely. Still a glimmer of hope it'll hit 175m.

Kong looking to take down PR and GITS!
-
Damn.... Will Kong hit 170m, or will F8 take up too many screens?
-
The way they sold it internationally was a good thing and a bad thing. Good because theyll actually make profit on this one, but bad because they won't be able to sell it internationally again like this since it has done so poorly.

Nice Kong drop! Hoping for it to hit 170m. 175 would be fantastic but not sure if that's possible.

I can't stop thinking about Your Name.... I definitely recommend it if you have it around your area. A great experience.

Yeah, 5m+ for a Kamen Rider might seem small... But they're actually making some decent money for that company.
A Hollywood PR movie making that same amount would be embarrassing.
-
Your Name. was a pretty great film. I can see why it really took off in Japan.

My wife and I are about to watch Your Name. and holy crap they put it on a tiny big screen.... last time I was at a screening with this size screen was for Indiana Jones:KOTCS during its final week. Yuck..Kind of disappointed. Lol..

I feel like with no competition in March, Kong could have reached Godzilla's number.
Probably, but it'll get to 550m WW it looks like, which will beat G14 at the WW bo. That's pretty great considering the crazy March competition.

Would be crazy to see Kong take over PR this weekend. Kong will most likely take GITS next week too. 170m slowly coming into play for Kong! I wish it would have enough gas to get to 175 so BATBs opening weekend wouldn't beat it's total DOM gross.

With the good legs domestically and China, it'll hit 550m WW for sure. Not sure how much after that.
