Need the trailer to see what the mood for this is. Intentional cheesy? Serious cheesy? Comedy cheesy? Trailer please.

Is there any popular known mutants in this that the GA would know? I have no clue who any of these characters are.

Personally, after the 2nd one I wanted the next one to be set well into the future, when the "missing" spacecraft reappears.
I guarantee this is what the next film will be. Obviously they're saying War is the final of the trilogy. The next will be a new trilogy starting when the spaceship reappears.
Rise, Dawn and War is Caesars story.

It's at 485. It's not impossible for it to hit 500 ww. If Japan can give it a good run it's in the cards.

IT also wasn't funded by Warner. They only distributed and marketed it.

I can see it doing 200m in China honestly.

Blade Runner is a sequel. Power Rangers is decidedly not a sequel or connected to any preexisting film in any way shape or form.
So Valerian is a franchise film?
Edit(thought Valerian was on your list haha)

I clearly picked those films because of their quality. I love love love Power Rangers but again it isn't a franchise film
How is BR2049 a franchise film but Power Rangers isn't? They were both made to start a franchise. Quality films is a touchy subject.. not gonna go there. People love a film but people can hate that same film.

Not a franchise film
Yeah kind of a random pick of 3... Should have added Kong, Power Rangers, GITS etc.

Yes, but me thinks it'll have worse legs.

Well, you can kiss Dune goodbye for awhile.
Knowing Legendary they'll probably still make it with a 200m budget.

Geostorm over Blade Runner 2049 domestically? A possibility?

So bomb like that movie?
Domestically

I wouldn't really call that a run to aspire to.
Never said that would be a GOOD run, but definitely see a 75-120 type domestic run. Obviously will do good in China.

It's weird seeing reaction video versus typing thoughts. Everyone I've seen with a VR has pretty much loved the trailer, while people with comments have been very mixed.
It's possible this might actually catch on and have a run like Power Rangers or better.

Gave it a few hours to think about what I saw. It's not as bad as first perceived. It's Twitter and Facebook tracking has done pretty good today as well.
"War" music is still annoying though..

Actually....universal is only distributing it in North America and few other territories. China has ponied up most the cash.
I'm guessing they're expecting something like 200m out of China... Which I guess can happen.
They should release this in China before other countries.

Source? If so, terrible decision on the part of LP and Universal.

At the beginning of the trailer when the big robot foot came down I was like "ok, that's pretty cool" but beyond that point it was
Yeah I was back in that world till the "war" music played. Took me out of it completely.

I tell you what... A lot of that extra bonus money WB got from IT is vanishing quickly.
