Think the issue is they think eras tour isnt going to be a female movie. from the insane initial sales, they probably think its gonna be a 4 quadrant/event type movie

I agree. I think it's similar to Tennis where you have pre "Open Era" and "Open Era" where Rod Laver and Djokovic are the respective greatest. I think for musicians, you have to split it to pre and post streaming. Pre you have beasts like Jackson, Beatles, Madonna Post, Swift is kind of in a league of her own if you take into account Streaming plus album sales plus awards plus concert sales plus longevity. Like an earlier poster said, 17 year gap and the sheer ammount of music she's produced is insane. Many other elite musicians nowadays produce less than half the number of albums she has

100% agree with this. Plus due to globalisation, her total fanbase is of course higher than even older performers like Madonna. For example, in Singapore (asian country with 5.5 mil population), she's sold out 6 nights of a 40k+ capacity stadium. Back to movies too, it looks like she's going to absolutely demolish the record for highest grossing concert movie

Seriously brilliant movie and I actually think it's gonna have high repeat views. Feels are amazing and I'm starting to think I won't be surprised if this gets good legs and maybe challenges Age of Ultron's or even Jurassic World's box office totals

Good evening, I'm a big fan of the Disney brand in general, with a special interest in the film department as I do box office analysis. I write today to share some insight on your recent box office hit, Frozen. Frozen's main remaining market is Japan, where it is performing extremely well. I have recently seen that the Blu Ray/DVD launch is planned for 16th July in Japan and I strongly encourage your team to consider pushing this back. This is due to the fact that Frozen is very likely to continue to do well at the Japanese box office past July, deep into this year. As can be seen, it's still taking in earnings within 5% of it's opening weekend every weekend up till the recently passed 12th weekend. It is showing no signs of slowing and the Blu Ray/DVD launch could cause significant earnings loss on Disney's part. Blu Ray/DVD sales might optimistically amount to about 2 million max in Japan due to low demand for home video in Japan. As such, as a Frozen fan and box office enthusiast, I urge your organization to strongly consider pushing back the home video release in Japan and watching as Frozen overtakes Spirited Away to become the highest grossing film in Japanese history, simultaneously pushing Frozen's worldwide total past Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2, giving Frozen the #4 spot on the all time box office charts. Hi guys! Another new user here, drawn in by Frozen's insane run. Have finally decided to make my first post because of my dismay at the early release date for the Blu Ray and DVD. Was very optimistic at Frozen hitting #4 WW until now. Do any of you still think it can make it? I'm really hoping it can as that will ensure it stays within top 5 for quite a while longer (maybe until Avatar 2 or Avengers 3) since Avengers AOU will probably beat it next year causing it to drop one spot.
