Two fun BO weekends in a row? Finally, it's been a while.
This August always looked stronger than usual, but with Guardians seriously overperforming it's going to be fun (at least until next week).

I think a better drop than Cap 2 is likely, but sub-50% isn't gonna happen IMO.

I've said it from the beginning, as long as Guardians stays above $40m, I'll be happy. This summer has been so disappointing and I don't want to be disappointed again. That's why I expect something that's actually quite reasonable.

Take into account that it's only been released in 26 territories so far, and none of those 26 are China.
That might be true, but I heard that the Chinese release date is not good.

I think it's obvious that TMNT won't flop since the brand is still quite popular. I agree that Guardians won't be hurt much by it domestically, but overseas it's a different story. I can see Turtles easily making $250m+ overseas.

$45m is about -53%. I think the WOM will help it weather the TMNT storm (only real comp...Into the Storm will not have much of a presence).
It won't drop as steep as Godzilla or TASM 2, but a 55% drop is possible. I can see TMNT being quite big (especially overseas).

I'm predicting $45m
I don't believe in a 50% drop yet. As long as it stays over 40m, I'll be happy.

Yeah, you guys are probably right. But I don't think TMNT and Guardians will be that close to each other.

If it's a close race like within a few million, something tell me Turtles will be Paramounted over Guardians.
I don't think so. Paramount has learned their lesson, I believe.

Yeah it will. They just announced it again yesterday. Originally, Sinister Six was going to be sandwiched between TASM3 and TASM4. Looks like they've dropped TASM4, and moved Sinister Six into the next slot.

Yes, it's possible but with Apes2 this weekend and maybe Lucy the weekend after, there's some competition for the big screens. So it will be close in either direction.

True, but I was talking about its performance specifically in Germany+Austria. If you count the whole world, FJG is obviously nowhere near Intouchables.

Reviews don't matter much for a movie like this, at least not on OW. WOM is where it's at, and we don't know yet if that will be bad.
