I vote for A Most Wanted Man because of Philip Seymour Hoffman's last performance. So sad that he's gone.

I am going to say this:
700M WW is
I am going to take a far going shot at that prediction
It's not locked at all, but it's a possibility.

Ugly drops, but understandable since school has started now. EX3 keeps falling like a rock and probably won't even hit $50m total.

Curious as to why Turtles would fall that much.
And Guardians as well. Ray seems to be pretty conservative on those drops.

With labour day weekend coming up to boost grosses, I think Guardians will hit 300m

I liked the political parts
It's just my opinion. I don't think they were necessarily bad, I just didn't care for them.

I just saw that Neo has nearly 1800 posts in the Star Wars thread.

Hercules opened to roughly $30m and that was almost entirely sold on The Rock's star power. Depending on the reception for BvS and/or Justice League I could see this opening to 70m+.

I'm the last one.

Better than TPM and thank goodness almost no Jar Jar and no Jake Lloyd. But the romance is incredibly bad and Christensen is not really believable as Anakin IMO. However, Ewan McGregor is awesome and the last 30 minutes are great as well. Also, like the OT this movie shows that unlike Jar Jar, C-3PO and R2 actually work as comic relief.

I don't think this deserves quite as much hate as it gets. The podrace and the lightsabre fight at the end are fantastic and Liam Neeson is badass as well. However, I do agree that young Anakin and Jar Jar are very annoying and that all those political things aren't interesting at all. Star Wars is supposed to be a space opera, not a political thriller.

Very exciting and intense thriller and clearly the second-best of the series (not far behind M:I 4 IMO). PSH is an amazing villain who is just evil as shit.

Good for Guardians and excellent for Turtles. Seems like it's going to be close for the weekend again.

Yeah Labor Day drop is going to be light, like within the single digits (11%-13% at worst), and there's no September competition meaning it is in optimal position to develop some very strong legs.
I really hope you're right. By the way, I'll most likely finally see Guardians next Thursday. I cannot wait for it.

I think only Mockingjay will outgross it while Hobbit may finish under $250M as Interstellar passes $250M but finishhes around CATWS .
Hobbit will increase from DOS and I can see it crossing $300m. Same with Interstellar. Never underestimate Nolan.

2014 has had a lot of surprises. GOTG winning summer and staying as the number one film until November is definitely one of those. TMNT opening big and possibly finishing higher than HTTYD II is another.
The only difference is that GOTG winning summer is a very pleasant surprise, while HTTYD 2's run is the exact opposite IMO.

Watching CA2 for the first time. Holy shit, this film is like a giant middle finger to the NSA and the military industrial complex. Amazing.
The first film is a C+ film. This is a flat out A. Scarlett is so beautiful...
But fucking DAMN, Chris Evans is STUNNING. That ass in the training suit...mmm...want it on my face.
And good numbers.

Dawn of the Apes had only one weekend drop less than 50%. That's kind of shitty
Yeah, I remember talks about $300m domestic for Apes after that great second weekend hold.

Hate to tell you all this, but I knew Titanic would have a 20 multiplier and become the biggest grossing film of all time.
And I knew from the beginning that Avatar would beat that record.

I wonder if Expendabelles (the female version) will still happen.
