  1. Aaww. I liked Pietro (Quicksilver) in Avengers: AoU. He was like a good & caring Brother to Wanda and stood by her side. Why did he have to die? Feeling pretty sorry for Wanda losing people she cared so much about. Her brother (Pietro) and her very close friend (Vision).
  2. Any idea how much at the box office Doctor Strange 2 might make? Since the first film was a big success with $232M DOM & $677M WW, and that one was the introduction to Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character. And since’s been in many MCU-films since then, what do you guys think the sequel might gross, conservative-speaking?
  3. Some of the other Harry Potter films had a PG-rating as well, like the first three films for example. Philosopher’s/Sorcerer’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets & Prisoner of Azkaban were PG-rated like Half-Blood Prince. One half of the Potter films were PG and the other half was PG-13. Imagine if all the Potter films were PG, instead of just the half of them.
  4. With Spider-Man: NWH currently at $759M DOM, it’s just $1M away from topping Avatar’s $760M. Wonder how Avatar-fans will treat NWH after that one topping the James Cameron-film?
  5. Hopefully no one gets utterly disappointed if SM: NWH doesn’t beat Avatar’s $760M DOM gross in the long run. Both NWH & Avatar’s grosses are still impressive as they are. 👩🏻‍💼🙏🏻 All movies that makes/made over $700M+ DOM or more, are very well-received by critics.
  6. Any idea what the WW-gross for SM: NWH might be later today? 🤷🏻‍♀️
  7. I sure hope many doesn’t get too disappointed or upset if SM: NWH doesn’t outgross Avatar, DOM-wise in the long run. Both movies still have an impressive box office run of their own. Though, Avatar is still the true king of the worldwide box office. Btw, happy new year. 🎊🎆🎈🥳 💁🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️
  8. Yeah. At best before release, Homecoming would have been a big enough success with around $270-290M DOM. While conservative, some would have said between TASM2 & TASM1’s grosses at around $230-245M DOM. So it did overperform above even the most conservative expectations.
  9. Looks like NWH outgrossed films like TF4, Skyfall, TF3, CM, SM: FFH, LOTR: ROTK, Aquaman, CA: CW & Minions in WW box office. Iron Man 3, Fast 8, Incredibles 2, Beauty and the Beast & Frozen are next.
  10. With Spiderman: NWH getting there to over $700M+ DOM & more, i couldn’t help but feel sorry for Titanic’s DOM-spot getting pushed further and further down from 2nd place to 7th place (when SM: NWH outgrosses it, DOM) by the blockbusters from a half of the decade or more. Star Wars: TFA, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and now SM: NWH. Seems like a mega-blockbuster outgrossing at least one James Cameron blockbuster, seems to have gotten bizarrely easy suddenly.
  11. Despite the pandemic, and despite no China release…Spider-Man: NWH’s box office goes very well and steady with ease. It’s like nothing else brings this down.
  12. It’s surreal that it would take SM: NWH around almost two weeks to become the highest grossing Spider-Man film WW, beating out FFH that made $1.1B WW in it’s entire run til the end. And the first time since the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man film to do over $400M+ DOM. Took almost 20 years to do so.
  13. Yeah. So far, only two movies from the top 15 opening weekends, are not distributed by Disney. SM: NWH (Sony) & JW (Universal).
  14. It’s funny that you mentioned Jurassic World, since SM: NWH does remind me a bit of that movie in terms of box office. There were early predictions for them to do big numbers (before their releases), but not to the levels that they actually ended with/will end up with. And they both have their own novelty factors to their bigger than expected openings. There’s always gonna be those blockbuster movies that have that rare & unexpected box office explosion. It happened before and might happen again in the future.
  15. Cool. 👍🏻 It’s really mindblowing that when a certain blockbuster hits monumental OW numbers, it makes it such a legendary sight to behold. Do you know what this type of such large opening weekend reminded me of?
  16. Say, will/did NWH go up with actuals and if so…how much exactly? Enough to be above AIW, or so? 👩🏻‍💼🤔
  17. Agreed. Seems that Sony have just got their first movie opening over $200M+ OW, let alone $250M+.
  18. Hmm. Seems that the OW for Spidey, might be underestimated or what. Anyone think the numbers will be higher or so? 🤔🧐
  19. Whoa! $122.3M OD for SM: NWH. 🤯😲 That’s higher than what SM: Homecoming & SM: Far from Home did on their 3-day OW’s. 😄😁 Who saw that coming in the pre-COVID time?
  20. Impressive Top 5 WW films by Sony, so far. Three SM-films, one James Bond-film and one Jumanji-film. 🤯😲 Jumanji: WTTJ, was one of the closer movies to $1B WW, but didn’t really getting there.
  21. What an impressive preview gross for SM: NWH. $50M! Wowsers. How is that compared to the preview grosses from the other Spider-Man-movies?
  22. If Fast 10 or 11 is treated and marketed as a true finale of the F&F-franchise (and a really satisfying one), then maybe it could do between F6 numbers. $230-$250M DOM (if it’s theater exclusive only) for the finale might be the most conservative numbers. Universal just needs to make the final movie, a “good & worth it” finale, without any anticlimactic moments that might ruin the WOM & quality.
