Alice 2 is a sequel to a movie that benefited from the 3D craze and Apcalypse dropped because of the ER and it's not like TMNT was very big OS to begin with. As for Dory, it doesn't look to make more than 600m OS. Ice Age will beat that. And unwanted sequels? Where do you get that from. If that was the case then the last one, the FOURTH in the series, wouldn't have increased even more OS. I find all this America-doesnt-want-something so the-entire-world-doesn't-want-it thing ridiculous. Fact is, Ice Age is bigger OS than any Pixar movie ever made. Actually, the only movie that comes ever close is TS3, and even that one falls about 65m short. The rest of them are over 150m smaller.

One word. China. Ice Age 3 wasn't released in China and grossed $690 million OS. Meanwhile taking out Ice Age 4's China gross of $68 million, gives it $648 million. Long story short, Ice Age is cooling down overseas after its Meltdown in 2006 (excuse my puns) :P

Well, it's more than a legitimate shot of reaching that arbitrary milestone at this point. More like a "very likely outcome".

Yes I agree. I actually don't know why I included the word "shot" as if there was a big enough chance of it coming below $340 million. I knew this was gonna clear it (I forgot to add "or more" after $340 million) (I also often mistake legitimate for certain) Haha I guess I might still have a low bias on the film due to my $337 million prediction, no matter how silly that sounds. But all things aside, I personally think $341 million is the magic number (I like odd numbers :P)

Man I really overestimated the UK and Japan! Still somehow hope for $100 million (25x) in Japan (which would require a few more weekend increases to around $5-6 million and regular 0 to 5% drops until July) but $140 million (35x) is illogical to expect at this point, let alone $160 million (40x) haha. I think $60 million is near certain, $70 million is likely, and $80-100 million is possible ($100M would require a push) I also underestimated domestic but my estimate in December of $337 million turned out to be more accurate than I thought. I'm happy I believed in $1 billion since early March :D and the UK, well almost $35 million is just fine but quite a bit less then I thought (Thank you BvS).

  4. First year with two $1 billion animated films as well with an outside chance of 3 (Moana: First princess movie in 3 years aka since Frozen). Last year got fairly close with Minions ($1.16B) and Inside Out ($0.86B), and 2013 got even closer with Frozen ($1.28B) and Despicable Me 2 ($0.97B)

Disney did it again. They announced the video release. Frozen started falling 35% after that.

Unreal. They really know how to kill a run

I think "Today or tomorrow" would have been a better thing to say yesterday in relation to Monday's figures :P Tomorrow always refers to the following day. In that case, you could have said "yesterday's tomorrow or (today's) tomorrow/Wednesday" or even "the tomorrow of yesterday or the yesterday of Thursday" but at this point I'm just being technical and annoying.
