Day 4 turned out a little better than I expected. I'm thinking that TROS probably settles around 75 seats a day once we're fully in the slow period.

We're definitely entering the slow period now as expected. Thinking today comes in probably around 200 seats or slightly less.

Another great day for Skywalker. Still too early to make any calls but it's pace continues to be great. Probably today it will start phasing into its slow period until preview day gets closer.

I multiplied by ticket price for each theater and came up with $314428 for the fan events. This was simple change to the script. I will start putting $ value to other list as well as each web page scraped for the show has the ticket price but I will assume all are adult tickets. For fan events all ticket prices are the same but for regular show there is some discount.

Oh I meant in terms of seats sold for fan events + previews

It's honestly driving me crazy.  The standard showings start at 8:30PM, so it WOULD make sense to have seven showings between 6PM and 7PM.  The problem is that unless they sold out ALL of the wheelchair spots, the shows would show up as available to buy tickets for.

So I feel like damned if I do, damned if I don't.

Speaking of the 8:30 show, that one is about to sell out along with the 9:30 one so if they are real, they would plausibly be sellouts are very close to it. I'd say looking at how shows in a close time proximity to the sellouts are doing is the best way of knowing whether sellouts are real or not.

Bit a bookkeeping.  Thanks to @keysersoze123 I was able to figure out the SOLD OUT Lincoln Square 13 numbers.  I'm going to assume they are real until they change.  So it now stands at:

LS13 - STAR WARS - First Day Sales
    Movie Sold % Estimate
    Endgame 4665 90.78% 54.46M
    Star Wars TROS 4235 -- --
    Joker 1082 391.40% 52.05M
    Lion King 1002 422.65% 97.21M

Okay, so I just ran the Cinemagic Numbers for Star Wars.

    Fist Day Sales SM Cinemagic
    Endgame 1138 72.93% 43.76M
    Star Wars TROS 830 -- --

I have no comps for them, but I decided to add two of the four other Cinemagic Theaters.  (The other two don't do reserve seating).

    They stand at:

    CM Hooksett
    IMAX 6:00PM 143 143
    IMAX 9:30PM 132 143
    6:30 PM 110 139
    7:00 PM 98 139
    7:30 PM 40 65
    8:00 PM 42 65
    10:00 PM 57 139
    Total 622 833

    CM Merimack
    6:00 PM 168 267
    6:30 PM 79 148
    7:00 PM 114 267
    7:30 PM 79 148
    9:15 PM 79 267
    9:45 PM 3 148
    10:15 PM 9 267
    Total 531 1512

I don't think they're real unfortunately. Usually a bunch of repeat shows that show up as sold out aren't real and eventually get taken down.

Obviously by far, it's the absolute best Day 1 of anything I've tracked for the region. This number puts it slightly ahead of Joker at the stop of tracking. As I mentioned before, the Ontario Palace has no IMAX shows right now so that's costing it a few hundred seats in the region. Nonetheless, this is off to a mighty start.

If anyone is tracking Regal theaters for TROS, you can check the auditorium number it is playing in by trying to purchase a ticket.  It won't actually let you purchase yet, but this is a way to pre-get the auditorium number in case of fast sellouts as it is on the ticket purchase window.

Not a huge concern for most, but for folks checking multiple theaters, it might help.  Thinking @FlashMaster659's theaters for instance.

Doesn’t Fandango let you do that for any theater?

  9. @keysersoze123 A really good thing to call back to is that back in April during Endgame pre-sales, AMC had a meeting that revealed that Endgame sold $15M in pre-sales at their chain in the first 24 hours. So that would be a major data point you'd be able to look to when tracking TROS.

EDIT: Looking back at that report, it also reveals that it did +50% more than TFA and 3x A:IW, putting TFA at ~$10M and IW at ~$5M.

I probably won't have time, as I'll be scrambling locally myself, but I will note that if someone does this, they shouldn't need to count all the seats in case of a quick sellout.  Just getting the auditorium number for each showing should be good enough as then @FlashMaster659 can go back later and get the seats at different showings/days if there are indeed sellouts.

That's what I did for Endgame, for instance.  I ran a screen grabber and just grabbed all the auditorium numbers show by show by show and then went back later and "back filled" the seat count at my leisure.

Yeah auditorium number is all I need

  11. Can one of you guys do me a favor? On Monday when the tickets go on sale (presumably) at 5 PM, I'm going to be at class and won't be back until 3 hours after the tickets have been on sale. I was hoping one of you guys could set up the 'total seats available' for each show and the region as a whole on my seat map once the tickets go on sale just in case any shows sell out before I get back (thus rendering me unable to see the number of seats in that theater). Whoever wants to do it, I'll email my Google Doc of the seat map to you on Monday before I head to class.
