  1. http://filmmusicreporter.com/2016/10/03/west-dylan-thordson-scoring-m-night-shyamalans-split/ West Dylan Thordson to compose music for "Split". James Newton Howard was probably too expensive for a Blumhouse film.
  2. New interview to Colin Trevorrow and JA Bayona: http://jurassicoutpost.com/exclusive-colin-trevorrow-talks-jurassic-world-2-surprise-guest-j-bayona/ Basically: - Colin has been working very close to Bayona since July - JW2 will be scarier and more suspensful than JW - Some dialogue from the novel will be in JW2 - There will be animatronics in JW2, because of the big box office numbers of JW - There will be new species of existent dinosaurs in JW2 that we haven't seen before in the series - Colin didn't confirm neither denied about feathers in JW2, we will see during the movie - Hawaii is a primary filming location, but not the only one. UK are just for the studios, but the movie probably won't take place in the UK - There won't be militarized dinosaurs - Bayona was surprised of some points in the JW2 script he didn't expect - They already know the JW2 title, but they can't reveal it yet
  3. 88% on Rotten Tomatoes right now, with 8 reviews (7 positive, 1 negative). I know it will probably change, but in this moment "Split" is the best Shyamalan's movie for Rotten Tomatoes.
  4. Same question I think when I see "The Avengers" having a higher RT score than "The Sixth Sense".
  5. More than The Visit, that had a 64% if I'm not wrong. But I don't hope anything more than 80%. Shyamalan has always his amount of haters. Even The Sixth Sense had only a 85%, compared to how great the movie actually is. What about box office numbers? I guess Split has a similar budget to The Visit, like a bit more only because of McAvoy? Let's even say $15M. I see Split grossing more than The Visit, having also McAvoy and probably very good reviews, and a good film behind from Shyamalan. Something like $80M domestic?
  6. Looks like the composer of the score is NOT James Newton Howard, but John Kusiak. Strange, but I guess it's probably due to Howard being very busy with Fantastic Beasts.
  7. http://collider.com/split-movie-review-m-night-shyamalan-james-mcavoy/ http://screencrush.com/split-review-m-night-shyamalans-best-film-in-years-is-a-surprisingly-poignant-thriller/?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed https://www.theguardian.com/film/2016/sep/27/split-review-james-mcavoy-m-night-shyamalan-fantastic-fest-austin "Split" seems to se Shyamalan back to form. Someone calls it "Best Shyamalan's film since The Sixth Sense"!
  8. Seems like Jon Spaihts wrote Passengers script listening to Thomas Newman, and now Thomas Newman is scoring the film. Perfect choice!
  9. The full trailer looks very good. The chemistry seems to be good, JLaw's acting seems better than Chris Pratt's one, although he seems good too (just, nothing special, although we saw only a few scenes). Loved Michael Sheen, both elegant and creepy, in that Shining-esque scene. It sounds a liiittle cheesy at time ("You trust me?", "You die, I die"), but I guess with the proper context it will be phenomenal and emotional. The story seems interesting, the final line makes me so curious to know how it's going to end, and the direction, cinematography and production design look top-notch. The VFX will probably be nominated at the Oscars. I will definitely see it in theaters.
  10. As soon as they released the teaser, the thread died here XD Especially, I want the Shay's reaction! Anyway... Very brief, but cool-looking. The two actors look as hot as always, if not more. So fanboys and fangirls of Pratt and Lawrence will give a lot of money to this film. The visuals look spectacular, and I bet this will get an Oscar nom for the VFX. There's a lot of charm. Seems also to be a mix of romance and thriller/catastrophic, which could be a winning and powerful mix. Of course tomorrow I will be able to give more thoughts
  11. Maybe that's their marketing strategy, to make people talk about the trailer hence the film lol I hope it comes out too, and then I guess the conversations will be much more interesting
  12. So the first so awaited trailer is going to be released from the chinese site and when all US people are sleeping? Coronation of a brilliant marketing campaign... Unless they reveal the trailer at a random time today
  13. If I were Sony, I would officially release the US trailer today, to prevent any risk of leaked trailers by chinese or whoever.
  14. Yeah, I can't see Sony to wait for China to release their trailer and then release the US one after that.
  15. Seems like a strange time for a Sony trailer release. What if that's the release for Chinese trailer? The US one could come out sooner
  16. I guess it was $150M + marketing costs. If I understand well, Jurassic World 2 budget will be $260M + marketing costs. But I could be totally wrong.
  17. Looks like the production budget for Jurassic World 2 is $260M. For comparison, Jurassic World had a production budget of $150M. This is going to be HUGE.
