Are James Cameron / Avatar fans counted in Kals? -
The chart isn't entirely serious. I do expect Avatar 2 to make over 2 billion though, and won't be surpised if it beats Avatar. It prob will make 600m in China alone.

Only if it's a works in his favor. You know the only reason he directed the Titanic was so he could dive to the wreckage? You know that he refused to sell The Terminator script when he was homeless at the time, unless he could direct it himself. You know that he took a prop gun into a producers office who wanted to change parts of the films, he put the gun on the table then said "anythings on the table"? This mans insane.

Will Disney try to compete with Avatar 2 and release SW8 at Christmas 2017? It seems like finicial suicide even if it is Star Wars and Cameron will just release when the hell he wants.

Aren't they the same thing though? You're onto something though, if Star Wars is a film then Avatar is Cinèma. I think arthouse film buffs would murder me for saying that so lets just call TFA a flick.

IN RESPONSE TO THE GRAPH JW, TA and TDK seemed to start to drop this coming week. From day ~12-25 then they seem to drop again. Don't see why Star Wars won't follow this path, however than leaves it close to a bil still.

fair enough, I want Avatar and Titanic to stay #1 and #2 because I treat WW box office numbers like titleship belt (which James Cameron owns).

Surpised you don't have more Avatar fans on here to be honest, it's a higher quality film than TFA. From the lurking I've done when following SW7 box office I've only seen Kal (god bless) and a couple others hoping SW7 won't beat Avatar.

Hi, I found this site trying to google box office numbers and this one seemed the best by far. I'm cheering for Avatar, I hope this doesn't upset anyone. I'm hoping for Avatar 1-4 and Titanic to be the top 5 international all time highest grossing films by 2020.

Imagin the a film of Avatar's quality and longevity mixed with Star Wars franchise power, 4bil isn't out of the question.

I think if TFA is too beat Avatar it will need to hit 1.2b+ DOM. I don't see it doing that with these numbers, I really don't see this film having the same legs as Avatar. Considering that Avatar made around 283m/750m (DOM) of it's original run in December SW7 will have to keep up these numbers for ages.
