  1. Jurassic Park finished just 2m under E.T.'s first-run record gross.
  2. SM will lead with maybe over 50m, probably less. I can see Toy Story still being #2 in its fourth weekend if none of the new releases grab attention. (Han's seen Stuber, says it's terrible)
  3. Hahahah yes. Given that it has a 5.7 average rating and 59 on Metacritic I don't think there is a firm general consensus. Most reviewers seem cool on it, a bunch of them I'm sure having tripped over the usual depiction = endorsement mistake. But I've also seen a small but growing number of very strong raves. I found it a lot of fun and I think it's 100% destined to be a cult movie.
  4. The wildest scenario would be all three of those, Aladdin and Endgame all pulling 30m plus. 25m apiece is actually possible. Edit: disregard, I thought that was Endgame's fifth weekend instead of sixth.
  5. I'm told they considered the Clockwork Orange scene of Alex beating a woman to death with the penis sculpture but decided it would probably send the wrong message.
  6. Well motherfucker. I lowered my summer game prediction from 134 to 113 based on that runtime and excluded it from my multipliers list. Now I gotta hope this is crowd-pleasing but not THAT crowd-pleasing lol.
  7. Goddamn. 51 is no age to go. I unironically enjoy 2 Fast 2 Furious. There's a skill needed to make that sort of blissfully silly, sunny entertainment, and it's easy to take for granted but when you watch something like 2F2F and a movie that tries to do that and fails, the difference is very clear.
  8. Bernard Hill, Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Emma Watson and Martin Freeman are I think the only actors who've played different roles in different billion-dollar grossers. Laura Dern also if you count the Jurassic Park re-release.
  9. Johansson had The Jungle Book and Civil War released three weeks apart. But neither was a starring role and TJB didn't make a billion. Then there's the Black Panther folks in IW. Course, even Larson couldn't have done this if it weren't a single role in a single franchise.
