Feige removed from the message as he was a whiny bitch and begged for a rerelease.
Jim calls himself self the box office king of last 22 years
Really short because not happy with Disney
What message was he removed from? Also, what's your source for Feige "begging" for a re-release?

Surprised we didn't have any "I am Spartacus" moments yet

If there's money left on the table, and there is judging from Asian expansion since 2009, then there is reason to re-release it.
Though I'm less sure now in the hands of Disney, they might not bother with it, I still think a large global re-release is a good strategy, easier to market Avatar 2 as a sequel to a highest grosser and also remind people of Pandora again.
How much money do you think it will hit?
Percentages in Asia, especially China, are not that favourable for distributors, compared to domestic.
Then, there's the cost of reworking the whole movie, and distributing it, taking screens from other movies from Disney.

He got a bit realistic there for a moment

He's said he will rerelease before Avatar2 with improved visuals and roll out to dolby.
Yeah, but he also said that T:Genisys is a true Terminator film, so we don't have to take everything he says that seriously

He did one for Titanic and did one for T2
Both were 3d. Avatar is already 3d, so there's no reason to re-release it by that logic.

Jim will never allow this, anyone claiming it will go on D+ doesn't know the first thing about JC. He's all about the theatre experience and blowing your mind on the biggest and most visually impressive screen possible.
I got my reservations about that, I assume that JC wouldn't want just a re-release for the sake of the crown, perhaps re-taking the crown with A2 is what he wants.
Unless we get any new 3D tech, which then again means that JC would have to work on A again, setting A2 back once more, I am not sure it will hit the theaters again.

Isn't Disney going to re-release Avatar before Avatar 2? If so, Avatar might reclaim the record.
That is a possibility, but Disney can make more money by putting it on Disney+.

@ChipMunky so I take it that you're against a black woman playing Captain Marvel? Even though Monica was Captain Marvel before Carol? Racist much?

Brie Larsen isn't going anywhere. Monica isn't going to be Captain Marvel (at least not for a long time and then it will be a passing of the torch ala another Captain). Get used to her for the next decade.

Some great news, we're finally getting the Captain Marvel we deserve. Brie Larson and Carol Danvers cannot quit fast enough, Monica has always been a favourite among comic book fans, especially ever since Agents of HATE (mark my words, this can be another GotG style success for MCU)

Big day for comic book fans (I know we're a dying breed). @LaughingEvans
Sad, but it was bound to happen. He got really disillusioned with the fan base and other writers, and I don't really blame him. Got a lot of shit from DC and other writers.

Its only fault is that it's a "reboot", so it had to rush some of the early content from the manga as to not be too redundant with the first "incomplete" anime show of the series.
Ture, but also hats off to the first anime as well, for keeping it good till the end, despite going beyond the manga. Some plot points, like Envy's and Sloth's identity.

Good discussion here.
For anime, I've not dived in too deep, but I'm a big fan of Stein's Gate, and my guilty pleasure is Girls und Panzer.
For manga, I'm new to this as well, one of my favs is the original Devilman, though I admit it packs some really hard hits towards the end.
For comics, it's another discussion. I prefer to follow writers, and some characters. Too many underrated gems in the genre.

No one cares about them any more LE.
That's sad, but true.
To be fair, I can't blame people for not caring anymore, the big companies failed to see their business model would die off, and agenda-ridden current state of comics doesn't help at all*
* before anyone jumps in and say that comics always had sociopolitical agendas, let's make sure we know the difference between themes and agendas.

Considering we haven't seen any actual combat skills from Mantis, watching her repeatedly shown in the front lines has been kind of hilarious at best.
I'mma put them all to sleep one by one yo!
She's a top tier hand to hand fighter in the comics at least

Marvel sued Sony in 2003 because they were owed money from the first 2 MIB films. They claimed it was "Hollywood accounting".
The fact that 16 years later Sony are still claiming MIB 1 and 2 made no money is incredible.
Didn't they do exactly the same with Spiderman and Stan Lee?

Now this is scraping the bottom of the barrel.

i'm asking because if he's referring to the #2 and #1 congrats posts on twitter, they were not made by the same account. I doubt that JC himself handles the avatar account anyway. So far it just looks like a way of coping.
