  1. Universal has international rights. My theory is that F9 will move to Jurassic World 3’s spot as Jurassic World 3 moves to November. @grim22 beat me
  2. Sony is pushing everything back due to Covid including Spider Man 3, which will more likely than not be pushed to 2022 if things get worse. Connected was only pushed back because it was during the spike. And while I do agree with the idea, it’d be too soon and they’d be leaving money on the table and effective killing one of their only franchises (next to their Spider Man universes, The MCU films, Jumanji and Hotel Translyvania) (I mean the animated one) if they did it for 2021. My point is it doesn’t make sense Sony would do another Spider Verse film this soon especially when one is still fresh in people’s minds. Nor do I think Fiege wants thunder stolen from Doctor Strange 2.
  3. I feel a live action Spider Verse won’t make as much as if it was next year, rather than wait 6-7 years, as it seems too soon in general.
  4. Spider Verse 2 is in production since June, like they’re actually doing animation. Spider Man 3 isn’t even filming yet.
  5. Still it seems way too early for a live action rendition. I doubt Sony would put two SpiderVerse movies so close together.
  6. I feel like with Spiderverse 2 in 2022, and the likelihood of the pandemic times there’s a chance SM3 moves to 2022 if filming if off and Strange 2 supposed to introduce the multiverse, I don’t think it’s a Spider Verae film as it seems too soon. I think it’s more likely a case of same actor, different take.
  7. i do wonder if we’ll get multiple villains in this one. Think Oscorp or Osborn hires Electro, and some other villains to track down Spidey. I just ask Electro not be a disgruntled Stark employee, I don’t want to see the same arc with Peter and Tony a third time.
  8. And it’s my opinion. Joker was an Academy Award nominated film and I hated it. Just because others like it, doesn’t mean others do.
  9. Gonna ab lib what another user said. There’s three options: 1. Jenkins gets to go all out with his vision like Rian Johnson in The Last Jedi 2. Jenkins gets a middle of the role with their touches, style and themes heavily presence like Taika Waititi and Ryan Coogler 3. Jenkins barely gets anything and is smothered to conform to the Disney style or leaves cause “creative differences”. This being a PG family film makes me think 3 is the most likely option.
  10. @cayommagazine Infinite Studios has greenlit a new live action Black Dynamite film for Y8 titled Black Dynamite Returns. Michael Jai White will return to play the legendary Black Dynamite, as well as the director of the original film, Scott Sanders. The film is said to have a major budget increase for more theatrical purposes but still be under $30M. Said to be a homage and parody of blaxploitation films of the 70s as well as the recent rise in nostalgic remakes. The plot is said to have legendary Black Dynamite in the present day, who after a fight gone wrong with the fiendish Dr. Wu, has time travelled to the 2020, to see that somethings have changed yet still stay the same, as he discovers a nefarious plot to take down the black race involving a beloved hero of his. Black Dynamite must once again save the day, assembling a new crew as he adapts to modern times. Joining the cast is Academy Award nominee Zendaya (Dear Evan Hansen, Olive the Other Reindeer, Spider-Man: Homecoming), J.B. Smoove (Harley Quinn, Curb Your Enthusiasm), Michael Rooker (Guardians of The Galaxy), John David Washington (Tenet, BlacKkKlansman), Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2, Joker) and Lakieth Stanfield (Sorry To Bother You)
  11. @cayommagazine Endless’ WhatAToon! has bought out a pitch from writers Raphael Bob-Waskberg (Bojack Horseman) and Damon Lindelof (Lost, Watchmen) titled Super. Details are scarce other than being a psychological drama but it’ll be a Y9 release.
  12. In addition to this, more have joined the cast: - Clancy Brown (Thor: Ragnarok, the American Dragon franchise) will voice the main antagonist, the time demon Malleus - While rest of the actors are unknown, heroes rumored to make an appearance are: Firestorm, Wildcat, Power Girl and... a Green Lantern. The plot reads: ”Blue Beetle (Jake T Austin) and Booster Gold (Asa Butterfield) have been best friends for the past five years, having been on a bunch of crazy and lucrative adventures. However, it is revealed that Booster Gold came to the past at the wrong place, and wrong time, supposed to protect archeologist and of course businessman Ted Kord (Donald Glover), who was supposed to become a different version of Blue Beetle. All of this leads to the time demon known as Maellus (Clancy Brown) reawakening and has destroyed the very of fabric of time, and worlds to end. Teaming up with Rip Hunter (Nicholas Cage) who happens to be Booster Gold’s son from the far future, a fellow Timekeeper, and his team of heroes throughout history to travel and fix time before it’s too late.”
  13. @cayommagazine Peyton Reed signs on to direct the long in hiatus Blue and Gold sequel, now titled Blue and Gold: A Retcon in Time. The project is aiming for a Y9 date but Y8 is a small possibility. The project is said to feature multiple superheroes from the DC universe and is said to be a major event. In addition to Asa Butterfield, Jake T Austin, Michelle Rodriguez and Kevin Hart returning from the original as well as Bill Hader as Plastic-Man, new cast members are revealed: - Nicholas Cage (National Treasure, Con Air) is playing Rip Hunter, a suave man who watches over time alongside Timekeeper (Kevin Hart)... who happens to be Booster Gold’s son from the future. - Donald Glover (Gateways, Heartman, Atlanta) is playing Ted Kord, an archeologist/business playboy, who Booster Gold was supposed to be assigned to watch over at an older age, which was apparently halted due to fracture in the time. - Ana de Armas (Pillars of Eternity franchise, Blade Runner 2049) is Zatanna Zatara, the most powerful magician in the universe. - Janelle Monae (Hidden Figures, Moonlight) is Vixen, who can use and replicate animal attributes.
  14. I doubt Bond does over $400M if it stays this year as numbers will increase over the fall/winter period.
