I just want to say I truly love this forum and everyone on here. I know my account is like 9 months old, but this place is fantastic. Hopefully I haven't been too annoying with clubs or my stanning for Ninjago. We are all united on here by the love of two things: movies and box office. Together we'll remain strong no matter what obstacles we face. -

After today's events I think we need some positivity and look towards an optimistic future of box office for 2018. -

On the bright side we still a have a number god left and one presale guy (I think) and it's not like we can't make projections out of Deadline, they're starting to do some beneficial change like early Thursday preview numbers, Friday updates, early weekday numbers for big openers opening week, and are becoming slightly better than before at predicting. Sure it's a massive bummer we don't have presale numbers anymore or early Saturday/Sunday numbers but at least we don't have to wait to read the news. Who knows we may have a new source. -

As other have said there's a huge difference between a fan and a fanboy/fanatic. -

Normally, I have always been a second chance type of guy but this shit needs to stop. This forum is wonderful place and the people here are fantastic for the most part, and the mods have done an excellent job with this site. However with the ever growing CBM landscape now, we should stop his before it gets out of hand. There's a line between fan and fanboy. And we need less fanboys. That being said the forum has to be the least toxic and most safe forum out there, even fanboys here like Napoleon/BKB/IJack, aren't a tenth as bad as IMDB fanboys but we need to make a tighter stance on fanboyism. Whatever the outcome is I have the upmost faith in moderators such as @Tele Came Back @grim22 @Water Bottle@baumer @CJohn and I trust they'll make the decision that's best suited for the site. -

Yeah, tbh at first I was on the whole chance train, since I joined this site after I was an IMDB user for a month and that was in 2015, of course it's no where near as bad or as toxic as that site was. However, we need to be a bit harsher. -
You two didn't get the joke he made. Also @SpiritComix, welcome to the boards.

I'm not expecting good legs for JL, if it does $400M domestic, it'd be like $165M-$170M OW with a finish about at $400M. Coco it can survive with second weekend but SW8, Jumanji, and Ferdinand will destroy its late legs. -

I know I been called crazy with my predictions for The Star but if it looks good and is good to the GA, I can see it over Coco. -

With the hype Thor has so far plus the addition of Hulk and Doctor Strange in the mix, Thor can't miss $200M but it could have a slightly higher OW ($95M) but with legs around 2.36x finishing at $225M (or possibly legs around 2.2x and do $210M. JL won't miss $300M either even with an overperformance for Rangarok and The Star, given the DCEU's film average of $135M/$300M domestic, even if it's BVS bad. Best case for Thor is about $350M, if YT views/social media = big OW , JL could do $400M but it needs an OW over $165M which again is possible but it'll barely reach it. The only way I could see a sub $150M OW is if it's BVS bad and both Thor and The Star breakout. -

GV2 on its fifth weekend deals with both Wonder Woman and Captain Underpants, both could do over $50M OW (WW > $100M OW). TWS on its fifth weekend dealt with Amazing Spider-Man 2 which did $90M OW. -

If we look at worse case scenarios for both: ($225M for TR, $325M for JL), JL is still over Rangarok by $100M.
