From Guru
The domestic total for Wonder Woman vaulted past the triple century mark on Friday ending at $318.4M matching Iron Man from 2008. Later this week, Diana will race past Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman to become the top-grossing film from the DC Extended Universe entering the all-time Top 50 in the process. A domestic final of about $390M is possible, but $400M can't be ruled out just yet.

I know, believe me, I was disappointed too. The villains feel like non-factors compared to Wolf Stanton, the 'Dentist.' It's the worst, but it has its moments. And this scene is amazing:

Well, ya see, I'm also taking my mom with me. And the tickets are gonna be more like $15 since I'll be seeing it in Cinemark XD, and if it doesn't come there, then I'll still be seeing it in 3D anyway.
So how about we go $30?
30 BUCKS!!!

I'll be seeing it as soon as humanly possible (in theaters, not getting a free screening or anything). That means trying for 7 PM on Thursday, July 20
Valerian making at least $1 during Thursday previews: confirmed.

Cars 3's most poignant moments hit far harder than anything in Toy Story 3. granted the film doesn't have any kind of consistency but oh well.

And this is the hard part. It Comes at Night and Captain Underpants are the two movies this month I liked, yet nobody is talking about them because the former imploded and the latter isn't grossing anything impressive! GOTG has kind of faded off discussion wise, and I've been getting shit with Alien since OW.
Bring it in, big guy.

I don't have much going for me in my life right now. All the movies I've liked this summer outside of GOTG have underperformed greatly, and it's just been a pretty weak summer so far for film. Combine that with constant anxiety about shit I deal with irl, and it's not really pleasant.

Not really. It's 3-day opening might still fail to beat the first day gross of the previous movie.

lmao, the showing of All Eyez on Me that just started has sold nothing. It's been performing very weak at my theater, and I have no doubt it'll be gone next week.
Moar like "No Eyez on Me", amIrite?

It really didn't help that this literally looked like more of the same. The third had the promise of a unique 3D experience (back when it was a draw) and the fourth at least brought in an A-lister to shake things up a bit. What the hell did this have going for it?
Prime's heel turn. That's pretty much it.

I think Transformers 5 will probably be the "X-Men Apocalypse" of the series, at least regarding domestic numbers. Or maybe Pirates 5.
Overseas will be great.
Now, here's the thing. If this movie makes 400 million in China alone, won't the producers only get 100 million ( or 25% )? I mean, isn't that the way in China?
So, let's see. They say the budget is 217 million. This obviously doesn't include distribution, marketing and promotion. So, what's the real number? 390-400 million?
If producers only get 50% or maybe 60% form domestic grosses, 25% from China and 40% from the rest of the world, I can't see this movie making a profit.
Let's imagine:
160 million domestic- Producers will get 80 million ( 50% )
400 million in China- Producers will get 100 million ( 25% )
300 million overseas- Producers will get 75 million ( 40% )
So, 80 + 100 + 75 = 255 million. If the budget is 217 million, then they'll get what? 38 million profit?
I don't know if I'm thinking the right way. So, feel free to correct me anytime.
