Early 2018 CBM predictions for fun:

    Panther: $105M ($130M four day)/$325M

    New Mutants: $70M/$200M

    Infinity War: $210M/$450M

    Deadpool 2: $125M/$285M

(if my prediction is correct) DC Super Hero Girls: $25M/$75M

    Incredibles 2: $125M/$435M

Ant Man and The Wasp: $85M/$200M (although I can easily see sub $200M)

    Venom: $40M/$100M

    Dark Phoenix: $45M/$115M

    Spider-Man: The Animated Movie: $35M/$175M

    Aquaman: $85M/$350M

What? a DC Super Hero Girls movie in 2018 ? Where is that coming from?    By the way, I just wanna remind you that  Aquaman: $85M/$350M means it will have far better legs than GOTG, just saying.

Wondy, Kong, Lego, Annabelle, IT, JL, Dunkirk... WB will have a solid year. Ninjago and Blade Runner should do well too.

Arthur misfired. Don't know Geostorm's budget but that could be another misfire.

Tough to catch Disney these days but WB is undisputed #2.

:kitschjob:Universal's Happy Death day and Fox 's Kingsman The Golden Circle & Murder on the Orient Express (2017) will break out big. They will top WB.

Don't worry, in a few years when it becomes a cult classic Valerian will be re-released in all the IMAX screens in the world and we'll be able to watch it in full glory and the re-release alone will make more money than Dunshit ever did.

NOW YOU ARE TALKING. But, I don't think people can handle THAT ONE TRUTH...

As usual, Eastern Europe is way ahead of you folks, when good original scifi/fantasy is concerned.

DUNKIRK got just one or two of the smallest screens - while VALERIAN got all the biggest and best screens here. LOL! Valerian will make 10 TIMES more money than Nolan, the cinema managers are not that stupid.

Hell yeah ! I absolutely agree ! The sheep will wake up to THAT ONE TRUTH : Valerian is great and better than most of those movies that try to be blockbuster and artsy-fartsy at the same but fail to do so. Valerian provides just that.

    02.16 BLACK PANTHER

    04.13 NEW MUTANTS

    05.04 AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

    06.01 DEADPOOL II

    06.15 THE INCREDIBLES II

    07.06 ANT-MAN AND THE WASP

    10.05 VENOM

    11.02 DARK PHOENIX

    12.14 ANIMATED SPIDER-MAN

    12.21 AQUAMAN

I think ANT-MAN AND THE WASP staying flat from the first should already be an achievement. It is the movie that I think will be affected the most by this cbm saturation. Not expecting much from VENOM. Will it be rated R?

Upon reflection, it is actually better for WB not to release any CBM other than Aquaman. There are just way too many high profile CBMs next year. I guess Kevin did the right thing by slowing the engine and having time to get its act together. :redcapes:
