    Now that's more like it haha. 5 billion total or all shall be disappointed. In all seriousness I think it has a shot to explode to 1 billion but imo that's a massive leap of faith.

    I would say there is a huge difference of fan base between Pikachu which I liked 22 years ago as a child versus End Game but some crossover sure. 75% drop from week 2 to week 3 is unlikely because I doubt End Game will have bad legs. However since you predicted 1.5 billion minimum for DP I can understand your opinion. I disagree on the level of success but assume that it will do very well.

    I see people are now predicting minimum 1.5 billion for Pikachu. This is like Alita but crazier. FYI I think it will do awesome but sweet christmas.

    For Japan yes, I have seen no indication it will do so for China. Still looking for confirmation.

    I thought it was gonna be May 10th for China? Seems like with End Game that's a better choice.

    Sure but that's the difference from a Super Hero and a Super Villain. One must draw the lines and learn to use their power for good. Heroes accept the responsibility, Villains abdicate it. Anti-heroes are a blend of both that typically have a huge moral grey area but step up when it really matters.

    I'm so confused. I rewatched this and liked it ALOT more. Problems were still there but Hardy is so good as is Venom. Strangely...I think I very much want to see a Sequel.

    Oddly enough I sort of understand it more now. I watched it a second time. Plotholes everywhere, so much not explained. Villain was truly awful and Michelle Williams was not good in the movie. Taking all of that out, Hardy was fantastic and I actually liked Venom's character considerably more the 2nd go around. I'd bump it from C- to B- maybe even B. The ending was a lot more satisfying then I remembered. Still shocking to see it do 850 million but imo (which may be worthless) it's not a bad film and much better than Suicide Squad and I enjoyed it more than BVS.

    My concern is if End Game is not fun per say and is depressing it will off a cliff.

    450 million doesn't seem impossible if it pops for 250 OW. 1.8 legs.

    I mean I don't feel like they did a lot of work to please them let's put it that way. People can complain they were too harsh (I've been too harsh imo) but there were so many flaws in that film yet it overachieved to an unbelievable degree. Are there any crazier success stories than Venom that did 850+ million plus despite being reviled by critics?

    It depends. Venom felt like an audience pleaser designed to piss off critics. I mean even I was pissed off at several moments but enjoyed several scenes as well. Critics were way too harsh on Aquaman, they just failed on that one Disney almost always gets the benefit of the doubt so when something has mediocre reviews from them it carries more weight for me.

    Coco at 9.6 wow. I don't understand this market but it is so interesting. Not a knock on Coco, I loved that film and agree with it 100%. Really seems like a emphasis to appreciate quality besides a few exceptions that don't relate perhaps. I mean Coco almost did more in China than America.

    I can't wait to see what the Venom Sequel does. Either way it will be be crazy. If it does more people will go nuts. If it fails the venom fans will be very vocal. Let it come quickly, I await the reactions with anticipation. Hell screw it I will see the sequel.

    Haha I predicted 19.8 last Sunday which just makes the post funny. I'll stick with 19.8 although I actually think it's possible to go slightly above or certainly below in the 18 range.

    Shazam over Dumbo LMAO. Shazam had 3 million in screenings already and comes out a week later with amazing reviews versus mediocre ones. Yeah no way. Dumbo will open lower and have worse legs.

    Could do really well in China as well. Hope it does.

    I'm gonna go 34% at 5.3 million. It had a soft drop for a great opening Monday and a nice bounce Tuesday. Range 4.9-5.7 is my guess.

    Yep I'd love to see a different director entirely but good luck with that considering massive success. Sequel will be great. Winter Solider was sooooo much better than CA1. That's what made me so impressed with Aquaman. Justice League sucked and for it's first film I thought it was really good with a great set up for the next film.
