Scott says the budget is 185M
That's more like it.

The runtime is A-OK with me. It means they're giving Bruce a juicy, complex mystery to unravel.

I don’t think it’ll effect Aquaman. He had one throw away line in his movie about Steppenwolf. His adventure can still happen, he just wouldn’t have met the other Leaguers yet.
SS, BOP and TSS are also effected because Task Force X is never assembled in the first film due to Superman not dying. That means Harley was never free… though you can erase the first film and just say after BOP is when Harley was captured and TSS is the first time Task Force X assembles… guess we’ll see in November
New timeline:
Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman 1984
Man of Steel (kind of)
Aquaman
Shazam
Birds of Prey
The Suicide Squad
Black Adam
The Flash
The scenes in Wonder Woman where she receives the photo from Bruce would have to go, as well.

Best trailer yet! It looks incredible (even though I don't like emo Batman), and Zoe Kravitz - Wow!!
-
If the ending of Man of Steel is changed then a whole bunch of DC movies will be negated.

2022 and 2023 will be very interesting as we can finally start to disentangle pandemic effect from general audience preference shifts.
Ah, a cock-eyed optimist!

For the very little it's worth, this is the first film I'll be seeing at the cinema since Joker.

Those Licorice Pizza numbers are astronomical
They're pretty much par for the course for a PTA film. Watch for it to paradoxically flop as it expands.

Europe probably will, not a chance the US does.... it'd end poorly.
It's already been detected in Belgium, and given how fast things are developing I'm very confident about Europe. I agree with you about the US, though.

Your naivete is touching. Prepare for Europe to go into mass lockdown within a week.

I really hope Europe isn't going into lockdown. That is beyond absurd and just flat out destructive - COVID is here to fucking stay but most people have been vaccinated so people need to start living their goddamn lives especially since it overwhelmingly kills the older.
Hindsight is 20/20, but the economic, political, and mental devastation COVID has caused in its wake was way too overblown.

Unfortunately, the economic repercussions of the pandemic will be with us for a long time to come, especially if the lockdowns continue.

It'll be well received by audiences and Academy voters, critics' reviews don't really matter.
Audiences won't care for this, apart from the Germanotta fanatics.

Belfast is a crowd-pleaser (it won the People's Choice Award at TIFF). Spencer, despite the mainstream subject matter, is an art house oddity.
Spencer is just plain bad.

While everyone is up in arms about Eternals, the disastrous performance of Spencer squeaks by unnoticed. But make no mistake, it's a disaster. The "oh but it's just an indie" excuse does not have merit. This is a movie about one of the most iconic and beloved figures of the last 50 years. It stars a name actress. Between critics swooning over it, months of festivals/accompanying BA Oscar buzz, Neon's barrage of promoted tweets, Kristen Stewart strategically announcing her engagement on release week in a way that would have made the Kardashians proud, and a bullish near-1,000 screen count, this should have done at least $4-5M.
Another reminder that Twitter is far removed from the real world.
It's a terrible, terrible movie, even worse than Jackie. And Stewart isn't even that good in it; she looks the part but her efforts to ape Diana are desperately strained.

Exactly, and they usually help I’m sure. Dr Strange 2 has just had more than usual, that we know of. Benedict said in his interview “we’re making it better” and its release was delayed.
Which is as close as he'll come to saying "It's a mess, folks".

Never seen a Zhao film, but she basically served as a glorified DP here.Frankly, that's all she is.

Is there any reason why so many are worried about NWH reviews from critics. Unlike Chloe that director has proven twice he can make a good MCU movie that both critics and audiences enjoy.
Raimi has never made an MCU film.

Guess "diet and exercise" also explain the gigantic head and jaw growth as well. To be clear I'm not "shaming" anyone, just making the obvious observation that he's on HGH.
Isn't it a given that actors who have to quickly bulk up for an action movie are administered a regimen of steroids?

I just never understood giving the Eternals a movie. This is akin to DC making a Forever People movie
It's called hubris.

@Ipickthiswhiterose Great points and amen to It Chapter 2 reviews. The movie was a chore. Overlong, boring, not scary, choppy, etc just didn't come together on any level and even performances were uneven. Hader and Skarsgaard were good. The rest barely had anything to do but look bug eyed. But it got a pass not to drag the really good Chapter 1 down.
The conclusion to It is just very hard to film. The novel works because King is such a great story-teller.

She said they're struggling with edit (probably make the story flows well), DS2 especially and that's one of the reasons for the delay, but she said so far is nothing to be afraid of, especially since they give time to correct some things instead of rushing it.
It's blindingly obvious that Doctor Strange 2 is an overstuffed mess. WB better take care with Flash.
Anyway, I'm honestly surprised by the response to Eternals. I truly thought the combo of Marvel, Zhao and DIVERSITY!!! would be catnip to critics. Surprised, and pleasantly so.

Please. The vast majority of reviewers will be fawning all over this, even if it is your typical Marvel claptrap (with extra added artsiness).

The culture really took a turn for the worse when people started seriously reviewing trailers.
Anyway, Zoe Kravitz looks amazing. I just hope the film doesn't suffocate under all its grimness.

I think there's something to this. In 2015 he was let go from Cafe Society and replaced with Steve Carrell because he couldn't remember his lines.
