  1. Since when did I say CW's box office was bad? I just says its multiplier is bad, and if a movie like CW could get a 2.27 multiplier, there is a chance that Thor 3's leg is not as good as people expect. CW is front loaded partly because of it's huge opening, but it has almost all of the Avengers in it, while Thor 3 only has 2, so a 120 opening can also be considered quite big, and it might influence its multiplier. There is also Justice League coming in two weeks, which will hit its box office hard. Again, Thor 3 has a pretty big chance of hitting 300m, but it is far from secured.
  2. Wouldn't have good legs is different from a 2.2 multiplier, the latter one has almost gone into the awful area. 2.2 is one of the worst multiplier of MCU, if not the worst(need to check the numbers). And CW is one of the most praised MCU movie. Thor 3 has a chance of getting 300m, a pretty good one actually, but far from secured.
  3. I don't recall any body predict a 2.2 multiplier for CW after its first weekend, but it happens anyway. Sure you can find reasons like "it's depressing"(really?) or "it's too fanboy centric” etc, but that's not something you would say beforehand. So I don't think Thor 3 has secured 300m, especially considering that JL will appear in two weeks and takes a lot of box office from it.
  4. I don't know, if you think there is hero/good guy and villain/bad guy in Watchmen, you might be missing some important part of it, no matter the book or the movie.
  5. There are several version of Watchmen out there, which one are you guys talking about? The theater release version is the worst in my opinion.
  6. So far the review is not as bad as I thought it would get. 69% on RT with a average 5.4 score is good enough for me anyway.
  7. From what I've seen, Bronies are just the same as every other fandom: mostly nice people, but also has lots of toxic and awful ones. I don't find it so much worse than any other fandoms. As the movie, I think they should stick with the original cast with a new villain, instead of introducing 5 to 7 brand new characters, but Hasbro has to sell their toys I guess. It took them several seasons the fully explored the main characters, and now they will probably become one note characters again in the movie due to the limited screen time.
  8. The way I see it, the news should be "DC are not only making movies happend in DCEU, they are also doing movies that aren't." Instead of "They are dropping the DCEU to make unrelated movies."
  9. They should really announce DC vs MK 2 already. Sub Zero's dialogue has already showed the first DC VS MK happened in the Injustice universe.
  10. General audiences are gonna be confused as fuck when they try to google these two characters. "What do you mean Shazam is Captain Marvel and Captain Marvel is Mar-vel and who the hell is Ms Marvel?"
  11. WW actually has a chance of passing Civil War and Iron Man 3, which is insane.
  12. Civil War only has 2.3 multiplier, and it has high critics score and audience score. Homecoming's performance is normal, not great, but not awful either.
  13. There is not enough Iron Man in it. And I'm not being sarcastic, because RDJ's Iron Man attracts more audiences than any other Marvel characters, even Spider Man. Iron Man 2 and 3 are just mediocre movies, but both of them made way more moneys than other solo MCU movies.
  14. Come to think of it, all those talks about "relax, it's a spidey movie, there is very little Iron Man in there" isn't really helping the box office. If this was a Spiderman/Ironman team up movie, I think more people will want to see it. Team up tend to bring more audiences into the theatre and Iron Man(or RDJ) is the most popular character in MCU.
  15. You know what they say, WB should make WW the Iron Man of DCEU. So let her sleeping with bunch of woman seems a legit direction to go.
  16. Except in the First Avenger the didn't gas the town protagonist just saved and let the hero watch all those bodies lies in front of her. Having a few jokes doesn't make it a Marvel movie.
  17. I wish they stick to the whole Cap and Bucky thing through the whole movie, instead of wasting time on the whole Sokovia Accords bullshit they throw out of the window since the middle of the movie. There is enough reason for the government to goes after Cap, they don't need some documents to drive the story forward.
  18. Well, when it comes to the family movies, especially the animation ones, I always wait another two weeks before I go to see it, just to avoid those kids.
  19. Even with the lowest OW,WW is gonna be the DCEU movie with both the highest critic score and the highest domestic box office. Let's see what WB takes away from this, more female superheroes? More creative freedom for directors? More Wonder Woman? Or more Chris Pine?
  20. I have to disagree here. Marvel's best perform movie, Avengers has 0 romance storyline. In my opinion, you either have a decent romance story line, or you have none of it. All of Marvel's love stories are half baked and lazy written(even Cap and Peggy, it's better than the rest, but not decent enough), that's the problem here.
  21. One year ago:" There is too much competition, WW's box office performance will be influenced and probably won't doing well" Now, Wonder Woman: "I'm not locked in here with you, You are locked in here with me".
  22. Even though I don't like the direction they are going with, Spiderman: Home Coming will open 100M+ and gets over 300M for sure. Every MCU movie featuring Tony Stark has passed 300m, with only one exception, the Incredible Hulk. There is a reason why they put Tony in almost every trailer and poster and other marketing material.
