I enjoyed Tenet a lot and Interstellar is like one of my all time favorite movies...those are the kind of movies I wanna see from Nolan, not movies like Dunkirk, Oppenheimer. I still remember the amazing feeling I had when I got out of theatre after watching Interstellar. I have basically close to zero interest in watching Oppenheimer despite Nolan being my favorite director. The teaser, trailer that have released so far have also been quite meh...nothing much exciting about this movie.

Guys remember A2 is losing some screens this weekend, and according to Grace Randolph its also losing a lot of PLF screens to Cabin.
So yeah A2 may drop more than expected this weekend.
In terms of screens, A2 is losing around 7% screens when compared to last weekend. In terms of number of shows, it's keeping all the IMAX shows, losing around 20% of PLF shows and 40% of standard 2D shows. For comparison, A2 lost 4% of IMAX shows, 11% of PLF shows, 20% of standard 2D shows last weekend.

I think there is a decent chance for A2 to be #1 next weekend

Friday-$2.5M(+150%)
Saturday-$5M(+100%)
Sunday-$3.2M(-35%)
$10.7M...
Saturday growth will be definitely higher for A2...even when there were NFL games on Saturday, A2 was growing 100% on Saturdays. Last week, there were no NFL games and A2 grew 120% on Saturday. I'd expect similar growth on this Saturday too. At this point, I'd expect something like
Friday - $2.5M (+150%)
Saturday - $5.5M (+120%)
Sunday - $3.75M (-32%)
Around $11.75M weekend

Big issue with Batman is that it was weak in the southwest/MTC2 while Quantumania is stronger in those regions.
I also think 6.4 is likely closer to current number, the Alpha PSm will increase closer to release.
Since you have been tracking for a while, are there any consistent regional trends that you have observed ? Like which region of the country is strongest for MCU, DC ? Which region is strongest for say horror movies, adult dramas etc ?

last week's weekdays were bit inflated due to holiday period in China, Korea and in some other South East Asian markets

Has Shyamalan had any flop at boxoffice since After Earth ? Feel like every movie of his since then has done pretty well at boxoffice relative to the budgets

23K admissions each on Monday, Tuesday. Not much drop from Monday to Tuesday. CGV start for Monday, Tuesday was roughly similar around 8K whereas for Wednesday it is around 4.9K. Is it losing some screens on Wednesday ?

unless Avatar2 is losing large number of PLFs in upcoming weekend, I think it will be higher than that...there will no football next weekend, so the Sunday drop should be much better.

Yep, they pretty much all went to high (well except two)
Title = Est / Act
Avatar = -45% / -43%
Puss = -36% / -40%
M3G = -45% / -50%
Otto = -49% / -54%
Missing = -48% / -50%
Infinity = -27% / -41%
Some of these may have even been updated estimates this morning
Meanwhile, Pathaan had a -25% Sun, and Left Behind just a -6%
I think Pathaan having much lighter drop than others makes sense..it's overindexing in Canada like crazy (28% of OD gross was from Canada). NFL impact would be significantly lower in Canada than US. Also, Pathaan's audience is mainly Indian origin people and your average Indian American is less likely to watch football than your average American.

Excellent hold for A2. As expected, Sunday drop was higher due to Championship games but the Saturday jump was excellent. Overall just a 20% drop this weekend
Friday - 3.61M (+150% jump)
Saturday - 7.92M (+119% jump)
Sunday - 4.43M (-44% drop)

Avatar2's actuals came in higher than estimates...M3GAN, PIB2's actuals came in slightly lower than estimates

The future major crossover movie will rewrite all records in India or no? @charlie Jatinder
it will probably rewrite Bollywood records in India but quite unlikely it will break Baahubali2's domestic gross

Was there any holiday in New Zealand during this weekend? Almost all the movies did better than last weekend

Shanahan is one of the best offensive minds but he leaves a lot to be desired as a HeadCoach with his in-game decisions, time management. The first drives of the game today is a decent example. Shanahan should have challenged that Devonta's Smith catch...considering the importance of play and it being a 4th down, even if there was some uncertainity, they should've taken a timeout and then challenged it. Devonta Smith's reaction after the play to hurry up was also bit of a giveaway. Not that Niners would have won this if they challenged that but these are kind of small mistakes which Shanahan keeps making. For such an offensive genius, it's also weird how much conservative he is when it comes to going on 4th downs

last NFL season had one of the best playoffs ever...almost every game from divisional round onwards was a nail-biter whereas this season's playoffs from divisional round onwards have been bit of a dud.

I am really underestimated Toei because of DS:SH... Seems like a pretty huge mistake
do you know how much RRR did this weekend ?

How exactly was Interstellar not a clear mainstream win ? It did $700M Worldwide which is excellent number for an original sci-fi movie. It did around $190M domestically with an almost 4X multiplier.
