So looks like it was a 37% drop this weekend despite losing shows in China this weekend. I think the drop excluding China is around 34%
-
If A2 has 33% drop every week for rest of it's run, it will end up 13.77M admissions. If it has 30% drop, then it will end up at roughly 14M admissions. If it has 25% drop, then it will end up at roughly 14.47M admissions

Did Missing open in any international markets ?

I liked Old despite some poor dialogue. Will definitely check out Knock at the Cabin if the reviews aren't terrible

That Portugal number looks pretty good..62K admissions, €476K gross in the past week...feel like highest grosser in Portugal is pretty much locked for Avatar2 right now (in Euros)

That looks like a pretty strong hold for Avatar2...just 22% down from last weekend
-
Avatar2's Overseas weekend actuals have so far come in higher than initial estimates almost every weekend so far...wonder if that continues this time too or not

I am expecting a $58M weekend (-37% vs last weekend)

I am expecting a $21-22M weekend for Avatar2...roughly 50-55% higher than NWH

Looks like NewZealand might be the only major English speaking country where Avatar2 will be the highest grossing movie
-
Considering China's contribution is gonna go down significantly from 21st onwards, we might probably see a big drop this weekend in Overseas numbers
-
The past week has been pretty huge for boxoffice in South India ( mainly in Andhra, TamilNadu, Telangana states ) due to Pongal/Sankranthi festival,. Both the Tamil and Telugu big movies have opened extremely well.
-
it looks like runtime seems to be a pretty significant factor for Avatar2...its seeing better drops than estimated when following day is a holiday whereas worse drops than estimated when the following day isn't a holiday.
-
$9.5M Monday means the weekend was $93M, $4.5M higher than initial estimate of $88.5M

My company doesn't give a day-off on MLK day... Presidents Day is also not a holiday for us. We only have 7 holidays - Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's day. Used to be only 6...started having Juneteenth as holiday starting from 2021.

Is A2 doing better in current weekdays than last week's weekdays because people know that there aren't going to be many showtimes post-Jan 21st ?

I think what the article is referring to is only Hindi dubbed version pre-sales...it's not including BB2's original Telugu version and other South dubbed version pre-sales. BB2's Hindi version gross was only 40% of overall India day1 gross.
