you could see In The Heights poor showing coming a mile away. the only people talking about it were severe film circles. i dont audiences even know it exists -
Just used someone’s Max account to watch it. Bland and uninspiring. Oh well.

In the heights seems like it *should* be taking off but something about it just is not clicking with general audiences. Prepared to be disappointed in its box office. -
The episode was basically just a prologue set apart from what I assume will be the real story but they did it very well. Most visually pleasing marvel project since Guardians 2 as well. show is going to be enormous worldwide. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the most watched streaming show around the world this year.

Why release the trailer when not releasing the trailer just builds even more anticipation by the day. Disney has a significant financial stake in this so I think releasing With Black Widow is the move

Loved it. Thought it was on par with the first. It’s hard to replicate the feeling of the first but the did a good job. Kind of a carry job by Cilian Murphy and Millicent Simmonds. -

There’s no buzz around this thing no matter how well it was reviewed. Probably gonna cut marketing down a lot and squeeze out profitability. People got too excited with the Hamilton hype.

The film studio was probably the 3rd most important part of that purchase for Disney. The streaming assets and the television assets were far more important.

Bezos overpaid by 8.5 billion. Eon controls Bond and the entire mgm library doesn’t add much of any value to Amazon Prime Video. The good part of the catalog is owned by Warner

That would line up with around what they are doing at the theaters. Those searches are people looking up showtimes and locations to go watch at theaters. You don’t really have to search anything to buy Cruella on Premiere Access.

Where is the 2m Premier Access Sales figure coming from? If that’s true, Cruella is having a pretty successful opening frame and explains why it has a significantly higher presence on social media than AQP2

Exhibition will likely never regain any meaningful leverage. Within one year they went from “banning all movies” to showing day & date and what is likely a permanently reduced theatrical window.

Gonna be a smash hit. Zhao is going to be the most valuable director in the game after this releases, capping off her Oscar coronation.

I think people need to be honest with Dune but they don’t let themselves because they want to love it. Dune looks so boring and forgettable.

Zhao isn’t going to make a think piece comic book movie lol. I think she knows how to add humor to her own movie. now that I think about it, this look pretty incredible visually. I think this is what Dune was going for but that turned out to look like a stale piece of bread. This blends is juuuust right.

lol this looks fckin incredible. It’s going to be the first actual massive domestic movie post pandemic. Looks absolutely gorgeous with an amazing cast that the audience will fall in love with. Chloe Zhao is gonna have yet another masterpiece on her hands. The absolute best in the business at this point.

Wow Space Jam is gonna take an L. But it looks like F9, Widow, Shang Chi, Suicide Squad will be the ones to have to truly revive theaters -
I don’t think that’s really possible. Comcast has around 100 billion in debt. This would be an outright acquisition on their part and would balloon that to nearly 200 billion. That’s the mess T is trying to get out of now.
