Yea just not feeling it for this movie. For something that was so culturally relevant as the matrix was 15 years ago it doesn’t seem to there for this movie.

Eternals second trailer is doing amazingly well. Add that to the fact that the best filmmaker in the business is making the movie and the cast is beyond stacked…it would be very hard for Eternals to lose.

The reaction and hype for this movie has gone the exact opposite way I assumed it would. Looks like it should be a breakout

Netflix is learning a lesson in a field it is trying to move into…not on the streaming side at all. I’m sure they’re crying all the way to the bank with their domestic revenue that equals the entire yearly US Box Office at its peak….

I agree that eventually they’d get there. But it’s be a few years longer. Is it really the worst move into he world to sacrifice some box office to get there quicker and operating at full scale? I don’t think it so bad. Yea these movies could be moved and make some more but at that point they’re just clogging the schedule too

I mean sure that’s ideal. But in today’s world and the current situation streaming is the move for Disney. They’ve established themselves as the only other major player outside of Netflix in the streaming word and pushing movies to D+ is helping them establish a foothold. They can also ways come back to theaters if they every somewhat normalize but right now they’re presented with the unique opportunity that nobody else really has. And taking advantage to establish themselves as a must have streamer. because if the day comes where you have to choose between 200m subs vs the box office…you want the former. And if it should ever come to it that theaters are permanently diminished…well those streaming subs will allow them to continue in as normal.

Interesting strategy to outright lie about what the CEO of the company said when he’s the one who committed you to a 45 day exclusive window. regardless Chapek seems like he doesn’t give a crap about what people say about him. In some cases that’s not so good. In cases like this, it can be good. he probably won’t even acknowledge it.

The writing is on the wall…new wave of delays are coming. mad for this movie…26m and no VOD revenues…yikes. Probably best dc movie since dark Knight and likely won’t be revisited on the big screen. Oh well. Doubt the show will be canned or cancelled atleast

10/10 finale. Absolutely stuck the landing and opens up a world of possibilities. MCU phase 4 is gonna be weeeeird and and it’s gonna be great

You know they’ve outright said they’re easing prices as the service fills out and originals expand right? Why do people keep saying this like it’s some grand conspiracy. They’ve literally laid it out as their plan and they don’t care about the other streamers. Other than Netflix nobody is close them and never will be.

All of the “lost revenue” some of you speak of has already been recovered by the simple subscription price to Disney plus. Disney could never have another physical media sale or tv deal and they’d come out better than before just because of that simply subscription to D+ as for saying that PA needs to go so BW could have made 10m more domestic? 😂😂😂 you guys better be prepared to adjust to theaters behind a distant priority for Disney and by default, the movie industry. It’s a perpetual decline now.
