  1. I saw Cruella in a real movie theater and I loved it. I can’t wait to see every LEWK that Thompson and Stone serve on RuPaul’s Drag Race S14. God. They were AMAZING.
  2. I won't front, I did not expect to like this as much as I did. I'm also laughing at all of the chatter in the BOT Chat about "it has Disney's first gay character". Girl, more like Disney's first gay movie. Or at least "let's give the queers EVERYTHING they love" gay movie. FASHION? Check. FOUND FAMILY? Check. DRAG? Check. CAMP ACTING? Check. FABULOUS BITCHY WOMEN? Check. DOGS? Check Check. SOUNDS OF BOPS? Check. Like other than Chris Evans' face this film is my laundry list of favorite content. And DID I MENTION THE SERVES? This woman is goddess. Yeah, this is definitely my favorite Disney Live-Action remake, other than Branagh's Cinderella. All of the characters are fun. The movie takes its time getting the relationships right. It's just a solid romp all around. It wasn't a carbon copy of the original. It definitely has its own agenda and vibe, while still having some fun references to the original. My only compliant is I felt it was a tad long at times. Not bloated in the sense of plot, more in that it took its time to get into the story, and I think they should've done a hard cut at the end about five minutes before they actually do. And I saw it in a movie theater. YAY

  4. I'm just gonna quote Wikipedia causes it's easier: Kerkorian was a Hotel guy that has no really interest in films. He just wanted MGM for the name basically. When Turner got involved he was mostly interested in the back catalogue for his cable Empire, aka how TCM was born. The Broccolis have ALWAYS been clingy about Bond because they owned (still own?) Eon Productions which is the ones that actually has the rights to James Bond. + I honestly don't know what to think about this whole deal. I don't think it really shakes the town to its core the way Fox-Disney, or even WarnerMedia-Discovery, did. The MGM of the Studio System that boasted having "More Stars Than There Are In Heaven" is dead, and has been for 60 years. It's mostly just a shell Studio in Name Only now. Everyone who said this deal has more to do with their back catalogue is 100% correct. Looking forward to them all being Amazon Prime exclusives now. Yay? 🤷‍♀️ On the other hand, this could be great. I mean, 8B feels like a steal/fire sale, and Jeff Bezos has so much god damn money he could be totally chill at people running MGM like Netflix where profits and debts don't matter (I still have no idea how that business model works, but, hey, let them blow their money). Maybe Jeff Bezos will bring back the Art Gratis Artis...
  5. First thing first, the Eternals referring to Steve as Captain Rogers cause ONE of course they know his damn name and TWO Captain AMERICA is still very much alive and kicking, is divine. Didn't need what's his face suggesting he lead the Avengers though. That's gonna put thoughts in fandom's minds we just don't need. Avengers already have their Captains: Sam and Carol. I kind of wish they'd left the tag off. It felt like Marvel presenting this amazing, beautiful, interesting, new film, but not having the confidence that the causals won't be like "where are the jokes?" Okay, now that I pretended to be objective about this: OOOMGGGOGMGOMGO CHLOOOOOOE WORKING HER ~*~*~*~*~MAGIC~*~*~*~*~ I FEEEL HER IN EVERY FRAME. AND THE KIRBY CIRCLES AND INFLUENCE EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S JUST SO GOOD. - THENA LOOKING BEAUTIFUL - KINGO BREATHES AND I STAN - KURAN AT THE TABLE CAUSE HE'S FAM - NO PHASTOS HUBBY YET ?!??! - NEED MORE AJAK. November can't come fast enough. Hopefully my theater will be bought and reopened by then.

  8. Honestly, I ask myself that EV. ERY. DAY. It's so bad. It's such a bad musical. And yes,
  9. Lol, I wasn't coming for your girl. I was just commenting on how dark it got. 🤣
  10. The tonal whiplash of this episode. Would you like some war crimes between your father/daughter bonding?
  11. This is still happening. ETA 10pm
  12. I love how this show is like “lol casuals”. They showed up on that planet and I was like YAAAAAASSSSS.
  13. MAY SCHEDULE [Note: All the of background info videos contain SPOILERS, if you haven't seen the movie.] MILDRED PIERCE WEDNESDAY MAY 12 Happy Belated Mother's Day! Don't let this being classified as a "women's picture" fool you, based on a story by James M. Cain (aka the author of Double Indemnity and The Postman Always Rings Twice), this is stylish noir about family, greed, and murder. No joke, I think Veda might be the greatest screen villain of all time. Also for some extra drama: MALTESE FALCON SATURDAY MAY 15 "Uh... It's the stuff that dreams are made of." CONAN THE BARBARIAN WEDNESDAY MAY 19 ARNOLD! Experience the cheesy terrible movie that launched ARNOLD into movie stardom. ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK SATURDAY MAY 22 Follow Snake (Kurt Russell) on a suicide mission to save the President Of the United States from the cyberpunk, authoritarian, nightmare dystopia that's New York City in John Carpenter's cult classic. NIGHT AT THE OPERA WEDNESDAY MAY 26 A Marx Brothers classic. (I couldn't find one on Night At The Opera, but this is a good overview of their work.) BULLITT SATURDAY MAY 29 So in honor of me FINALLY getting my Mustang, we're gonna watch the greatest film car chase of all time (Are those fighting words? Has Ronan and The Italian Job just entered the chat?) It's also a pretty good 1970s cop drama starting Steven McQueen in his most iconic role.
  14. I LOVE this. Wednesdays are comic book day, and this is a great way of keeping that tradition alive. All Marvel content should be released on Wednesday! 😍
  15. Just plowed through Shadow and Bone. It was like some Reylo AU fan fic brought to life. Really terrible, but half way through I was like "I must hate watch the rest of this." None of the storylines connect at all -- and the ending was just like, whatever. Ooof. Except for: I'll take six season and a movie for $800, Alex.
  16. Too bad we don’t have a massive artistic blockbuster directed by an Oscar winner that has a massive built in fanbase to be the front runner next year, and boost ratings. Oh wait. 😈
  17. I won’t lie, I hope someone gets read to filth for this. They totally robbed Zhao of her triumphant end. They could’ve done the Boseman tribute at any time. Terrible. Just terrible.
  18. I won’t lie. The In Memoriam got me. That’s for two seconds I forgot that Chadwick was not with us anymore. And then I realized about halfway through that he was going to be in this, and that he was probably gonna be last. 😭😭 I still cannot believe he’s gone
