  2. I'm getting confused. I'm not finding another explanation. We can check during the day to confirm if it counts over hour, for 24 hours or only the sales of the day. Pulse top 5 is not working here. @Nova, Fixing myself.
  3. I'm confused... How is pulse now? Not like this..? 4. Fandangos' top 5 aka Pulse top 5 shows bigger sales of the day, not last 1 hour.
  5. Yes, but these are the sales for the last hour. Fandangos' top 5 is cumulative.
  6. Today is holiday but The Nun entered in Fandango top 5 1- Crazy Rich Asians 2- Searching 3- Mission Impossible 6 4- The Nun 5- The Meg
  7. Not true. The Nun pre-sales started last week on monday, but it was announced in official pages on friday 24th. Here is the comparison: MON TUE WED THUR FRI 20/ago 21/ago 22/ago 23/ago 24/ago 34 39 103 316 222 27/ago 28/ago 29/ago 30/ago 31/ago 462 534 630 700 710 (estimate) +1259% +1269% +512% +122% +220%
  8. Pre sales started since Monday. On Wednesday there was a lot of cinemas with available sales, but Warner did not announce yet. I wonder why
  9. Yes. There is a lot of markets to gonext 2 weekends. 50m OS 10m Dom 60m ww on 34m budget.
  10. YA dystopian thriller adaptation The Darkest Minds took in $4.1m in its first session, with Mexico emerging as the top market on $1m in a number five debut. Thailand delivered a $454,000 number two result. The film debuts in 14 markets this week including the UK, France and Spain. https://www.screendaily.com/box-office/mission-impossible-fallout-races-past-200m-international/5131459.article
  11. I think the sad event in Paris also affected MJ2 box office. A dark film about war after a terrorist attack that killed dozens of people is not a big deal.
  12. A little less than three years ago it was breaking record of the highest-grossing all time, now is having a hard time keeping up in the top 10 annual. Is this the memorable franchise?
  13. What did you expect? A re-release every single year? This franchise isn’t Star Wars. And at least THG ended without having a movie losing money, SW wishes.
  14. What's the problem? I disagree with them, but it's their opinion. They aren't trying to impose anything by saying "(...)to me".
  15. Marc Forster directed Finding Neverland (2004), a Oscar nominated family drama movie and distributed by Miramax, a Disney company at the time. It is understandable why Disney has chosen him for a nostalgic family drama movie like CR.
  16. I mean, movie of the same sub genre can differ themselves. As an example of a YA dystopia. A movie can focus on the politic contexts, another one on the importance of the family, another one can mix with some fantasy aspects. It’s not very different from the diversification of films with the same theme.
  17. Then a movie with YA dystopia subgenre can not focus on the importance of family? Wouldn't be dystopia just the context in which the characters live?
  18. The hypocrisy is in the fact that people here say that there have already been too many YA movies, while there are several other theme films which are repeated much more.
  19. Glad you didn't understand my irony. Now replace "movies about family" with "YA dystopia" and see the hypocrisy.
  20. A movie talking about the need to play and the importance of the family? What originality! Deadpool 2 has already done it this year. We also had a movie of a talking bear, Paddington 2, which is amazing. Any number for this rip-off is great.
  21. I believe that CR will get good reviews. Disney wants to kill the theory that every movie that has a late embargo is a bad movie, so, they can release the future bomb Nutcracker with no fear.
