Based on Fandango's sales, I see Alita's OD closer to $10m. I was seeing its 5-day over $40m too. Looks it is happening.

Also New Line’s Isn’t It Romantic is eyeing $5M today for a $13M FSS, $14M-$16M FSSM, and a 6-day of $22M. Universal/Blumhouse’s Happy Death Death 2U is seeing $2Mtoday, a FSS of $5.2M, FSSM of $6.1M, and six-day that’s between $8M-$10M.

Don't you have a example? Like "Jumanji had 300k in presales two weeks before the debut and finished with 550k" or something like that? 250k seems like a weak increment for Alita. I see the presales of most films at fandango growing absurdly in the week of release.

Okay, thank you, but what I did not understand is why you think Alita will double the presales made last week. Did you make any comparison with the history of the presales of another similar film or it is a guess?

I said 110k od 😅. 127k was presales in total (tuesday+wed+...+sun) I was trying not overestimate. Amazing OD.

The increase of presales next to the release date are not exponential? Can you show an example of increase? I'm curious because the presales in Fandango increase a lot in the release week, Alita's presales began (officially) less than a week and they are pretty consistent at least at Fandango. Valerian is based on the comics in which Star Wars was inspired / did copy / whatever. Probably the few fans who knew of that were excited.

I think $10m+ from tuesday until sunday. Ready player one did $8m from wed to sunday with 150k adm on Culture day opening (cheaper tickets prices). Total Presales for Alita are at 127k (not only for OD). Alita should to do 110k+ adm on OD and a higher gross revenue than Ready Player One. Alita should get better holds, so I think 10m+ is happening.
