The way people argue about Avengers, SW and TLK when Pikachu will beat them all... (WW at least).😂
It couldn't even beat them in trailer views. What makes you think it will outgross them? LOL

The difference between both is what each did in USA and in China. If we exclude those 2 countries, and next to Titanic and Avatar, both films are the only ones which did $1b OS without China (1.010b IW and 1.007b SW7).
I still think Infinity War is more impressive since it was released during summer and the competition was more packed. I can't even begin to imagine how much it would have grossed with a December release.

Many? There are... 2? LLL and the greatest showman. If you want to count beauty and the breast as a music film then there are 3.
Also it went what 46 months without a drama film that gross 200M and now two come along at once. They should be celebrated.
Les Miserables (2012) - 441 million
Mamma Mia 2 - 394 million (almost 400)
Mary poppins 2 - will probably reach 400 million.
Not going to include the animated musicals - but as you can see 400 million for a musical movie isn't anything remarkable. Also it being the first drama movie to gross 200 million doesn't put it above Infinity War which has a far greater achievement - being the 4th movie in history to cross the 2 billion mark. It's not even debatable which is more impressive LOL. Putting ASIB over IW is ludicrous!
-
Infinity War. People said that the first avengers was the cap for superhero movies and that it would decline from ultron (specially after the CW numbers) and still the movie went on to gross 2 billion. Absolutely massive and legendary. Its THE movie of this decade.
90s - Titanic
00s - Avatar
10s - Infinity War
-
Can't believe that the DCEU has the audacity to use James Gunn. Literally picking up MCU scraps LOL. They need to get their own directors and team. This will probably be as messy as Joss Whedon's Justice League.

iirc I remember taking my leftover zopiclone pills to a party once, me and my mates tried to have a trip...
I believe hallucinatory side effects are extremely rare in terms of how many people experience that. It was something like 1 in 10,000 people experience hallucinations.
Lucky me.
Hey at least you can get a trip pretty cheap - assuming the drug dealers sell it for a good price

If you just want to judge most epic box office by how many dollars it grossed... there's a chart for that.
We had many musicals gross 400+ million this decade. So I don't think ASIB's gross is anything epic or remarkable. Infinity War was predicted to do much less (cause of CIVIL WARS gross / superhero fatigue ) and despite that it shattered opening weekend record and went on to become one of the FEW 2 billion dollar grossing movies. Those numbers are far to big to put it under a movie like ASIB.

i'll ask the doc if they can prescribe that. Cheers.
I think they may be avert to prescribing me any drugs as they believe that I'll mix drugs in my system (?) at least that's what the last doctor said.
@GraceRandolph I personally wouldn't take zopiclone, I remember being prescribed them a few years ago and wasn't aware they may have hallucinatory side effects. Went to bed trying to sleep and gollum opens my door, comes in my room jumps on me, telling me, "We hates the filthy hobbitses! Kill the fat, filthy hobbitses!"
That was wild. Terrifying the first time and then after that, I was fine with it, but still hallucinating. Every time I took them one of the movie posters in my room would come alive. I had giant Jaegers, a tiger, Stormtroopers walking around my room and talking to me.
Needless to say that did not help me sleep.
Dont think i would be in a rush to get zopiclone again, though I know someone who sells it (seriously, sleeping pills sold by drug dealers... what has the world come to).
LOL.ing irl at you having a trip on Zopiclone. Didn't even think that was possible. Better to stay off it then! ..

Anyways Star Wars IX will gross 1,2 billion at the boxoffice - even if the movie is good. TLJ has alienated so much of the fanbase already. Also LUCASFILM is useless they are completely lost and just throwing random movies out. It's their own fault really... Star Wars could have been a massive cinematic universe ala MCU, but instead they chose to focus on the same boring ass rebellion/empire story line with the same unimaginative desert planets.

This is kinda becoming a semi-hit. Im impressed by the gross considering how bad it started off.

Can someone explain why this movie is suddenly increasing so much internationally?. It was literally stalling at 400 million a couple of weeks ago and now its up to 415 million. Did they re-expand it globally as well?

they are potentially addictive drugs and the doctor said since I have an existing drug addiction that makes me much more susceptible to becoming addicted to sleeping pills.
Thats still a dumb reasoning. I mean insomnia is literal torture and completely disables you to function as a normal human being in life. He/she should have still prescribed them. But oh well.. I hope you manage to resolve your issue as well. Mine started with general anxiety keeping up. So perhaps try to find the root of the issue and work on that.
1 minute ago, Telemachos said:Try melatonin, @Avatree
Yeah I've read about this as well. It does work for a lot of people. Only issue is that it can allegedly mess with the normal meltonin production and fuck it up. But it's worth being on it if the sleep issues persist.

I got signed off work for insomnia for a while, but soon lost the job anyway, being out of work hasn't helped. I'm not allowed to be prescribed sleeping pills apparently. It's a headache and a half, I know how you feel.
I hope you're just kidding with the last sentence but I'm sure it will get resolved soon enough.
That sucks so much. It does get worse when you have nothing to occupy your time with ie. Work or school. It's odd that you aren't allowed to use sleeping pills - did they give you a reason? I've been using zopiclone from time to time and it works great. Problem with pills is that you build up tolerance and they eventually stop working.. So it's essentially only a temporary fix. I try to stay off them. I'm doing sleep restriction at the moment - trying to wake up and go to bed the same time. Hopefully that will work.

Man I love going to bed completely drunk. It's the only time I can ever sleep well. I've had 6 hours sleep and now awake at 6am.
I usually don't sleep until about 5am.
Feels good man.
Not sure why I stopped off to buy 40 chicken mcnuggets at maccas though.
Ugh same here.. I've been struggling with insomnia for a year now. Life is literally HELL. I managed to sleep great throughout must of January but now it's starting to fuck up again.. Waking up after 4 hours unable to fall back a sleep. If this continues a gun to my head will be the only option left

I think so, Cate Shortland movies are all R-Rated (or +15 in UK)
That's awesome. This movie was never going to be a huge samsh anyways. So it's better that they try to experiment with something more raw and brutal. At least it will stand out and hopefully be good!

And thankfully this is a superbowl weekend, as no movies has a declining theater drop over 360!

Top Grossing Movies of 2019 Predicts
in Box Office Discussion
Posted
There can be arguments made for each movie.
End Game - Follow up to the 2 billion grosser Infinity War (which ended with a cliff hanger) people will want to see what happens next. If the movie is anywhere near decent 1,7-1,9 billion is LOCKED.
TLK - Disneys biggest classic. Beauty and The beast did 1,2 billion and Lion King is way bigger - so expect the gross to be at least 1,5 billion.
I don't think Pikachu will come close to these numbers. But I guess we shall see when the numbers finally come!
